Calling all MTG players

Anyone who still plays MTG, do you know of any more sites similar to anycraze.com which let's you purchase custom decks/complete boxes/single cards/ etc.?

I want to try to get back into MTG. (found a box of my old cards the other day).

I have lots of cards I do not want anymore. Probably 10,000 or so. Randomly mixed common + uncommon. Then 2x 1inch binders with rares and ultra rares.

I'm keeping a couple of decks for myself and want to sell the rest.

Anycraze is terribly overpriced. ebay can be good if you have the patience to look out for good deals or just want to buy some bulk to play casually. Cardshark.com has good prices for random singles that people usually don't bother selling elsewhere. Beyond that if you are looking for in demand stuff magictraders.com is good. Hope that helps.

tab? How about tap.

obviously, I haven't played it for ages to forget that the only thing MTG players can only tap is geological figures.
;p

It's not like I'm going to be entering tournys or something, it's just for casual play amongst friends/co-wokers (yes, some guys at my work do play).

That's a lot of cards, I'd consider it an option though, it may have to wait though sames I will be moving near the end of September. I'm just looking for ideas for decks + researching the newer card series they been putting out since I last played. I'll keep you in mind though.

come on now, I am obviously joking ;p No shame in the Game brother.

Serious, I STILL do find MtG fun but just don't want to commit to a game with such massive financial and time commitment.

**shudder**...

why buy endless booster packs of cards for CCG's which will go out of rotation in a year to have to just start over again? Unless you are going to play in a tournament...Its a hugh waste of money.

I refuse to play the common, uncommon, rare game. If they sold magic packs which included 1 of every card in the edition, i might buy 3-4 of them to make my deck.

All CCG's are a scam.
OCTGN is clearly the way to go.

They don't go out of rotation because you can revise all your previous decks with newer cards that come out each year or so and on top of that if you play casually with friends and what not their not likely to care if you use one of your older decks as long as it still meets up with the rules your going by when you play. Also that is the beauty of MTG you don't have to go by the common, uncommon, rare game; you can make a decks based on a mix of them; it's not like other CCG's you may have played where the best cards are only the rare ones. Otherwise MTG would have died a long time ago(for some it did with the newer rules though). It'd also be pretty boring if they guaranteed 1 rare, 1 uncommon, etc per booster pack.

What's OCTGN? I can't figure it out :\

Which is funny because thats exactly what they do... Every booster pack has exactly 1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 11 commons.

hmm... imagine playing MTG on the computer over the internet...
Without ever having to buy cards... ever.

well if you are looking for revised/4th ed stuff i have a lot. you can have them all for $50 or something.

If you can tell me how much you have, and give an idea of shipping I'd probably take em off your hands.

If OP doesn't want them that is.

I used to play Magic back in the day, and I started up again recently, with the 10th edition set and the theme decks. I tried purchasing a few packs of the newer sets and I was completely overwhelmed by the new cards and abilities and such. I have fun just playing with the core edition so I may just stick to those.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or whatnot.

but you can totally do it with MWS or Apprentice...problem is, like real life, finding other people who wanna play. It's easier when you all have decks and all connect at the local card shoppe.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or whatnot.

for both of you being magic players...you sure are dense!!!

Oh wait...

OCTGN is far superior to MWS or apprentice or MTGOnline.... its a CCG engine, which can play any CCG over a network connection. All thats required is to have downloaded the appropriate card database (including magic - it has every card from Alpha to Shadowmoor). I left you a clickable smiley, maybe you'll eventually find it.
