looking for some 3 spoke rims for my mountain bike, i am consistantly bending the sh!t out of mine and wanted to get something a bit stronger to take the abuse...i don't know much about them...i think that they are made of carbon fiber material or something....

but basically looking on info where to buy and how much they cost in a ball park fiqure

thanks

You're taking about Spins, not to be confused with spinergy's... strong, stiff, and relatively cheap... 300 or so per wheel.

I don't really think Spins are the best solution to your problem, since they are not that robust, and are costly and nonrepairable. If you are bending or denting a lot of rims, I would look at getting some handbuilt 36-spoke wheels with burly rims (e.g., Mavic 618s) instead.

Go to this MTBR Forum and ask for Bianchi4Me.

He builds wheels out of his home and is VERY knowledgeable. He can advise you on the best wheel set for your use. Whether you buy from him or not, he only cares that you have the best wheels for you. His wheels are very nice and his advice is spot on. Great guy.

And the forums at MTBR are a great place to learn more about mountain biking in general.

PS. I'm thinking a re-build with SUN sub4 rims/14G straight spokes on your current hubs would be good.

Cheers.......
