calling all metrosexuals......i need a new hairstyling product

first off, i'm asian, so i have pretty thick, straight hair. i normally cut it short and style the top. i don't like gel, because it gets crunch and always looks wet. i tried pomade and liked how it styles, however it's wax based and requires two washes to get out. i'd like something that'll add texture like pomade, without the waxy build up. anyone?

The wax I use comes out with no problems after one regular wash. Granted it cost 2-3 times as much as a regular wax, but it also seem to hold better.

I use LA Looks gel currently (or whatever's on sale otherwise). Works fine for me. I have short straight brown hair.

I'll check when I get home, otherwise just see what you can get at the local hairdresser.

I use RedKin 14 (i think thats the number) Its a thin, watery like gel, but it holds like a champion. Expensive though

American Crew Fiber, already mentioned, is your best bet. Strong hold, pliable, pleasant scent, and has a matte finish. Best of all; it washes out easily. I use this stuff daily.

However, this stuff: Matrix DirtyTrix Clay is the best stuff I have ever put in my hair. Super strong hold, pliable, and same matte finish, but it smells a bit. Worst of all: it's a complete slut to wash out. For nights out only.

I recommend the former.

I wouldn't say I'm metro, but I find Crew smells and holds well without drying out your hair

^*rereads own post*

damn maybe I am metro 🙁

heathysexyhair soy paste > american crew fiber

I was talking about Crew Gel, screw pomade.... unless your a 50s greaser stuck in a time warp 😛

i've found pomade to give my hair a "styled look" without that wet gel look. plus, being asian, my hair is rather thick and straight. the pomade gave it a nice texture. it's just a bitch to wash out.

American Fiber Crew = good stuff.

exactly what i was looking for, thanks.

$14 is a tad expensive, though......i shall scour the internet for hot deals on this stuff

i'm not metrosexual, but i use 1 drop short & sexy's hard up gel mixed with 1 drop american crew medium hold gel. no wet, no crunch, good hold.
