I think a PC60 is what I would prefer. What is the best place to watch for a sale on one? If there are typically not many price drops on them, where is the best place? I have an account with newegg but their prices are a little high for Lian Li. Any respectable other place to order one? (I recently had a case destroyed upon shipping so I am kinda nervous with this next purchase)

Is there a good site that has a features list for each Lian Li case as well?
Will my 430w TruePower Antec PSU fit in this case or most Lian Li cases?

I found Newegg to be fairly competitive when buying my Lian-Li...it's also worth something to me to have the excellent service/return policies they offer. Just my .02. BTW your true430 will have no problem in Lian-Li cases...the two-fan PSU issues on some models have been solved with newest versions.

Good Luck (great product)

I don't think it affected all models, but I know for sure that the psu rested on a plate of aluminum in both the 70 model (presumably the 75 as well) and 76 model, thereby blocking the bottom fan of two-fan psus, neccesitating either a user mod of the plate or inverted install of psu. Current models have a slitted and contoured plate which allows both easy install and air flow with two-fan psu. I don't know if this was ever an issue with the 60 series cases as I have never owned that model. I have never been more happy with a case than with my Lian-Li 76.

Wow, great price.
Just made the comparison between this case and the one newegg has (PC-65usb-b). The one at newegg is 163 but just has what extra? fan on top?

UPDATE: I want to order today but it looks like the PC-65 case at coolerguys doesn't have the top fan but the PC-65 at ajump does have it. What gives? The case at coolerguys comes with thumb screws it says, is that a nice added bonus that I should consider? Do I need the top fan?

They all come with the thumbscrews.

Yes, the blowhole is a nice feature to have, even though it's only 80MM. If you go with a 4 fan model, invest in a rheobus, which will allow you total control over fan speeds and noise. Most are under $30, worth every penny!

I am glad you mentioned it. What is a rheobus? Also, why would I need it if they have speed adjustments already? Is is possible the coolerguys just forgot to mention the top fan?

I see you acheived a great overlock. Do you have the 4 fan (with top hole) model PC-65?

As another option, check out So Trick Computers. I think they have the PC 60 for 112.00 and their prices are hard to beat. Their reseller rating is pretty good too. I've ordered from them before and was satisfied with the service.

good luck!

There are Lian Li cases at b&m COMPUSA for 99.99, if you have one locally you could check them out. Dunno about which model

I ordered my LL from So-Trick also, but have since been less than impressed with their service (unreturned emails on multiple occasions, orders not shipped with no explanation, and more). I would pay the extra couple bucks and order from PCMods instead.

Fluxcap, yes, I have the PCc-65b with the top blowhole. The stock setup is only an 80MM, but it does make a large difference in temps. The stock Lian-Li "speed adjustments" consist of a small switch with 3 speeds that just works on the front intake fans.

A rheobus is a device which controls the current going to your fans. They usually have 4 "channels", so that you can connect front, rear, and any other fans independently. There is a knob for each channel, allowing you total control over the speed of each fan. For instance, I usually run my intake fans at full speed, with the blowhole and rear exhaust at 50%. If temps rise due to heavy CPU usage, I can just crank up the exhaust fans, and temps will drop!

The amount of noise generated by the fans decreses greatly when they are turned down. With the Lian-Li, for general netsurfing you don't need them at more than 50% to maintain decent temps.

Thanks for the comment on the O/C...it's not done yet! Buyin' a new MB next week, along with PC3200 ram....

I have a PC-65 as well; awesome case, worth every penny. The one I have also has 2 x 80mm blowholes on the window (lasercut by PCMods) as well as the top blowhole. One thing I would do, even though it requires modifying your case, is to remove the stamped grates and the interior fan grilles. Replace them on the front and back with standard fan grilles. I'm not kidding, this reduces noise by at least 1/2 by reducing turbulence. Dremel works very well, but can get messy with all the shavings. I actually used a pair of snips, cleaned up with a nibbler, then finished off with a dremel. Fast, easy, much better. I control all my fans with a Sunbeam rheobus (tailed fans) that I got from Xoxide. Works great; if you have a lot of case fans, a rheo is an absolute necessity.

Thanks Chizow but please forgive me....I don't think I could touch my case in that fashion for a while. I felt like I ordered a Mercedes and I don't want to change, not yet;)

Heheh I hear ya, but at the very least, remove the inside fan grilles (they're held in place by snap rivets). They don't do anything and noticeably restrict airflow and cause audibly more noise.

They face to the inside of the case, so unless you have the panel off and your computer on, they don't pose a threat to your fingers. ;) They are placed well out of the way as well, so it'd be hard to get nicked by one even if you were messing around in there with the power on anyways.

I just got my PC-65 from Coolerguys and it does have the top blowhole. Their web site is inaccurate with the specs.

It cost me $114 plus shipping.

I'm hoping to have the same experience.

I'm getting tiresome of my old, heavy and loud SX1040. :)

Blooz1 keeps breaking our ninja streaks ;)

Time to start a new one! :D

Its definitely worth every penny, especially if you have a quality PSU or you don't want to take a chance on a no-name PSU bundled with a case you've been eyeing. I got mine in January for $109 + $16 shipped + $10 for 2 custom blowholes in the window from PCMods in January, but I would've easily paid more sooner if I had known what I was missing out on!!!

Definitely get a nice rheo and marvel at how cool and quiet your case is. :D You can turn all the fans off except for the CPU fan during movies, and you can push more air when necessary when gaming. Its also a breeze to work with. Thumbscrews everywhere, fully removeable panels, HDD cages, etc. Its one of the best PC ugprades I've made over the past year, and I made a ton of upgrades. :)
