Calling all hardware gurus, I bet I can stump you with this problem!!!

Get a better power supply. 🙂 I had to replace my 300W PowerMan with a Enermax 350W to run the 1.33GHz T-bird.... no problems now.

Yes, splice maz have an issue...what PS are you using?

Have you ever tried another processor in your setup? Also Processors can be defective...

I have an enlight hpc-300-101 300 watt...I don't suspect its the psu cause I unplugged EVERYTHING except one hard drive, the floppy and the video card and it still froze...

No big issue, the CPU sucks most of the power...and Watts don't tell enough...the deliverable Ampere-value of the PS's 3.3, 5 and 12V stream counts...🙂

You're sure the CPU itself is 100% ok?

Is the CPU already unlocked?

Anyway, try to underclock it (e.g. to 100 FSB or even lower) and set the core voltage down, so it will consume less power and we will see if power is an issue here.
If it runs stable afterwards...it is...or the proz needs better cooling...😉

Never give up! Man will beat the machine...some day...😀

The CPU is not unlocked. I reduced the core voltage from 1.75v to 1.70v. The io voltage is currently at 3.5. Give me a few minutes to see if it will stay stable.

Oh man, if this is the problem I am going to be pissed....The computer froze on bootup with 1.70 core and 3.3 i/o. So I upped the core back to 1.75 and the i/o up to 3.6 volts...

It been running for 10 minutes now. I am going to leave it up over night and see what happens

A friend of mine had that same board and the problem was with the RAID.
He fought it for a month and it finally wooped him and he got rid of it.

Well the computer stayed up over night...I think I might try to get the raid back this afternoon since it appears it wasn't the raid. I swesr I tried upping the core voltage before, but it still froze. Maybe I didn't up it this high....weird.
