Their new album is available for streaming. It doesn't come out until the 12th but you can find it in the usual places*.

From what I've heard so far, it's quite excellent.

*Disclaimer: I've had my preorder in for at least a month. Get off your horses.

They posted the entire album on their Facebook page. Not to keen on 2 songs, but the rest of the album is great!

GA, you're an idiot. I guess here's to hoping your current stay doesn't last long.

Grohl recorded every instrument (save for one guitar part on one song) and vocal on 'Foo Fighters' by himself and it went platinum. Yep, no talent.

Go troll somewhere else until your eventual re-banning.

Just curious, which 2? Listening to each song now that I haven't heard, liking each one though.

The beginning of Bridge Burning irritates the living hell out of me and ruins the whole song.

I Should Have Known is boring.

However, These Days is freakin epic.

I love that opening! Agreed on These Days though. Slowly getting through the songs now...I'll see how I should have Known is.

I can see how people wouldn't like the intro. It's slightly disjointed but at the same time, I think it sets up the rest of the song pretty well.

I really love this album but it does make me a little sad that I'm not going to see Dave thrashing on the drums with Them Crooked Vultures for a while. There were rumors of a second album a few months ago but I haven't heard anything about it since.

Speaking of TCV, Josh Homme and Queens of the Stone Age will have a new album by the end of the year. Both Josh and Dave are amazing guitarists. Can't wait, Era Vulgaris was a phenomenal album!

Edit: I just listened through 'Miss the Misery' twice. Wow.

Back & Forth is growing on me.

That might be my least favorite. I liked the ending on I Should Have Known. But whatever, they will have my money come the 12th. And whenever they come to Chicago Solo, since Lollapolzza is a mess.

I love the Foos and will definitely get this album, but I've love to see them top "The Colour and the Shape". Might be the point in time(s) I listened to that album but damn, I'm not sure how they could top it ("In Your Honor" disc 2 comes verrrry close).

I may have to visit the windy city for the first time if they do come through there. I've always wanted to and this should be a pretty good excuse to make the trek over there. Minneapolis/St Paul has been a wasteland in terms of bigger bands I've wanted to see live for the past year or so. My last good one was QOTSA at First Avenue (front and center, baby - and there was that goddess of a server who somehow always knew when my drink was empty...)

I think Chicago is about a 6-7 hour drive?

Do you have the deluxe version of that album? The b side of disk two is a DVD with the second disk on it in full 5.1. Phenomenal.

But you're right. I think I was in 7th grade or something with CATS came out. It changed my world - no kidding.

At least 6-7. Last time they were here it was...epic. Just crazy. Best concert I've been to. That includes ZZ Top, Bon Jovi, KISS, Godsmack (great live btw), No Doubt. MartyMcfly went with me too. It was damn near 3 hours of Foo playing everything. Dave had such control over the crowd, I'm sure if he would have commanded us to eat our own feces, we would have.

Agreed, it had a huge impact on my time in high school.
