Hey guys I heard a rumor that ED is going to be cancelled. They are moving it to the Friday time slot where most shows go to be put to death. It is extremely well rated but it isn't making any money. How that works I don't know. Anyway, go to Stuckeyville.com and check it out. Sign the petition while you are there or write a letter.
Thanks

This is no good. Carol Vassey is hot. I guess they'll finally "do it" before the cancellation.

Carol and her sister Stella are HOT!

Is it confirmed that Ed is going to be cancelled or is this assumption (due to it's move to Friday this week)?

It's one of my favorite shows on TV right now.

Well, he has to get that girl somehow sometime... Telling you right now, I'd have gotten, or given up on, Carol in 2001.

I'll usually watch it if it's on, but won't go out of my way to see it like I would a few other shows like Scrubs or CSI Miami. It is an entertaining show although the relationships have taken too much of the forefront IMO and have taken away from the best part of the show - the characters of the town. There's all sorts of plots they could use based off the whole town with all sorts of random quirky characters yet they continue to focus on the predictable love story which gets boring rather quickly IMO.

And I agree, Julie Bowen (aka Carol Vessey) is hot.

It's not "extremely well rated", it gets mediocre ratings although it's strong in the 18-49 demographic.
The reason it is more expensive to produce than other shows is that it's filmed on location. It's a lot cheaper to produce a sitcom which uses cheap video to shoot three or four sets or (god forbid) another reality show.

I've read that the producers of Ed aren't unhappy about the move to Friday, due to the competition on Wednesday (American Idol, and Survivor starting this week due to the NCAA tourney) and they also are glad they're on at 9 now rather than 8.

Still, I think the future is shaky. I think Ed is a great show with excellent writing, and I really hope it stays around for a while.

I actually think it would make a great Sunday evening or even Monday evening show. Friday is the kiss of death though unless you're a kids-oriented show (and their target demographic certainly isn't kids.)

I always watch Ed, and I think it would be a perfect fit on Sunday night right after American Dreams because L&O doesnt fit very well right after it now... I have also heard conflicting reports on whether it will be cancelled or not, so well see but I hope NBC doesnt cancel Ed.

Actually, a lot of sitcoms on the level of, and inlcuding, Friends are shot on film.

I'm a brunette guy too and don't usually get into blondes either but Julie Bowen has got it going on. She's even been doing some makeup commercials lately which she's perfect for since she has the great looks and a nearly perfect spokesperson voice.

I would rather they cancel American Dreams before ever cancelling Ed.

Besides do we really need 3 different versions of Law & Order?

I saw her on Late Night With Carson Daly a few months back. She looked like a skeleton with clothes on

Aint that the truth... Well see though theres not a whole lot on Friday nights so maybe those that are tuned in will watch Ed over the other stuff on Friday nights.

Seriously, 1 version of L&O is more than enough.

Right, but I think that's the exception, not the rule. For every "Friends" there are 10 "Less than Perfect"s.

I agree with that, big csi miami fan, never really gotten into the others,
also why is it that csi miami is so much better than the original?

Ed is one of the best shows on TV. Love that they brought on Sabrina Lloyd of Sports Night fame to the cast (Frankie).

E-mail NBC. Tell 'em ya don't want it cancelled.

I highly doubt this is true because they are still filming the show... "Stucky Bowl", the bowling alley, is right by my house. (Rockland County, New York) I personally don't watch the show, but I have friends that do, but I don't think that they would cancel the show.

Yup! Ice-T always has some cool one-liners on SVU. Never as cool as Briscoe on L&O, but good nonetheless:p
