A CAAD9's aggressive geometry probably doesn't make for the best first road bike. If you're going to have a CAAD9 and run it with the stem pointed up with a bunch of spacers under it, you're probably going to be better off with a Synapse.

For the record I have a 2009 CAAD9 built with full SRAM Rival.

I think it's funny that Cannondale was the first to use aluminum and the last to move to carbon.

NOTE: I AM KIDDING. Stay far, far away from Walmart crap bikes.

After checking out what ATOT had to recommend, I purchased a Jamis hybrid back at the beginning of the summer and couldn't be happier with it.
