Calling all camera gurus! Is this a good lens for my digicam?

we do have photography ppl here. dont get anything on ebay.

The s40 is a compact camera with an extended zoom lense for those who dont know. it's not worth it. if you really wanted a camera that could take filters, you should have gotten a diff. camera. anyway, the lense adapter works fine. however, the quality of the filters is iffy. check reputable places like www.bhvideo.com to see if they have anything appropriate. you dont really have to get anything for the camera. what i do suggest is a camera bag if you dont already have one, and of course, applicable power conversion stuffs for your camera and extra digital media (or equivalent).

I found a page where they had pics of pictures taken with those lenses, and they turned out to be garbage. Im not buyin em. Thanks for your input 🙂

Im quite happy with my S40, I just am taking it to Europe with me for a second time. The first time through the pictures turned out awesome, and I just wanted to be able to take more pictures with more effects, specifically the wideangle...

Do research on anything before you buy. The stuff on ebay is mainly crap. The glass quality of the lenses is horrible and most are cheaply made.

I ended up going to a different place to get my 2.0x Telephoto lens (i got a Kenko KNT-20). I've been very happy with this lens. Here is a digital photography forum i frequent, the people here give great tips and advice.
