It was a problem with the shaft, not the driver head.

I'm positive it was the head. He said there was something rattling inside it. Maybe that was another tournament. Shows how good Nike's QC is.

I agree. I demo'd it a few months ago. Long hitter, but it was long into the woods. My older Big Bertha isn't as long (10-15 yards shorter), but it is fairly forgiving. This club instead of hitting 7-8 fairways out of 10, I was hitting 1-2. This isn't anything but the clubs inability to be able to hit the ball in the direction you want to with less than a perfect swings. If I were a scratch golfer, I could probably play with it. But, then again, I would still pick something better. I wouldn't buy the club at $100, unless I had a fool getting ready to pay me more for it.

Who cares, the point is very valid. I would say that I wouldn't expect to swing the club quite as fast as tiger. Most of my clubs are safe....That is until I chili-dip my wedge from 80 yards out. That club might see a little more abuse :D

LOL...Being a non-golfer, and not reading the entire title, I thought this was a hot deal on a Corvette...

when something is rattling inside the head, it is a shaft problem. usually it is a small piece of epoxy that has broken free. and don't confuse what the pros hit with what you hit. the tour vans are at the tournament sites until Thursday morning making clubs to the specs of the players. Tiger has gone through approx. 175 drivers this year trying to find the perfect one. the rattling is prevalent on tour because the vans use 5 minute epoxy, and it is not as stable as 24 hour epoxy.

I'll pass on this one. Now, if is was for a Titleist 975L-FE driver I would be all over that. It is currently my favorite driver that I have hit.:)

Callaway C4 is a poor excuse for a driver. I recommend the King Cobra 350 very highly. And as far as irons go - Mizuno MP30's.

pro plats will soon go the way of the oil can. the two limited edition holiday putters (the "my girl" and the "holiday") had a new finish on them. always a harbinger of the dincontinuation of a putter line. soon, they'll be marked down everywhere.

Alex

I just got back from an O' Town golfing trip. My brother has a golf store and claimed that the new Cobra was by far the best club out on the market right now for the average golfer. So I played a few rounds with it and guess what....It is incredible. When you see the size of the head you can believe the 9 sweet spot hype. The sad thing is this club has a relatively low price.

I have a 9 degree Cleveland Launcher driver with a UST staft. I got it when it first came out for way too much money! When I demoed it at a local golf store (Golfdom) I had to buy it. It added about 15-20 yards on my drive and I was even swinging slower than normal. Try it out! Oh yeah, I think Vijah uses it.

Vijay is using a 9.5* Taylor Made 500.

and i second the respose on the new Cobra drivers. both the 350 and the 427 are nice. also, for you true hackers out there, you can get the 350 in an offset model. they reatil for 299.99, but, like i said, most independentstores will sell it at 269.99. find one at a demo day and try it. it's been a great seller this year.
