This morning I woke up and looked at my clock, just out of habit I guess. My alarm clock had not gone off, but according to my clock it was exactly the time I normally get up. I looked, and the time it was supposed to go off was 7:25 PM. I normally get up at 7:25 AM. I figure my wife has been fiddling with it and didn't get it set right, so I went ahead and got ready for work. The whole time, I had this funny feeling that something just wasn't right.

I came in to work, where I discovered (much to my horror) that it was actually 7AM when I got here - one whole hour early that I could have spent sleeping. Apparently my alarm clock had been set forward exactly one hour.

So not only was my alarm set forward exactly twelve hours, the time on the clock was set forward exactly one hour.

I know I didn't do this, unless Alzheimer's is starting to set in extremely early in my life. And my wife swears she didn't do it (to the point that she got mad thinking I was accusing her of something). The only other person in the house is the dog. Do you think.... no way?!?!?

With all the UFO stuff in the news lately, I'm wondering if I should check my body for strange marks.

On most alarm clocks it's fairly easy to push up the time by an hour. You or your wife may have did it by accident.

hahah its the dog. he's actually an alien in disguise. he is sick of u treating him like he's a being of lower intelligence when his mental capacity is 4 times what yours is. infact, you dog used ESPn to change your clock

😛

Ok - sure. But how do you explain the 12 hour difference on the alarm setting, Mr. Wise Guy?

My clock has a switch on the bottom to adjust for time zones (pops it ahead and back by hours), check under yours...

I've had that happen. You stopped at PM on the Alarm instead of AM and hit TIME instead of ALARM when adjusting something.

Things like that happen with everyday tasks you do so automatically you aren't thinking.

It happens with driving, too. I'll be driving on auto pilot and end up heading towards someplace totally different from where I set out to go.

Yep to that(I've done it) and the auto-pilot thing. I sometimes will take the wrong exit because I'm on auto-pilot to school.

I said it was easy. You did it easily 12 times by accident 😉

No, someone screwed up (went too far) and had to go all the way around again. Instead of going 23 hours, they went 12 hours and stopped at the first 7 (which was PM instead of AM.)

It's a common error with alarm clocks.

It's a common error with alarm clocks.

But neither of us did this. Period. And this assumes that two unlikely errors happened nearly simultaneously - the clock portion was set incorrectly, and the wakeup value was set incorrectly.

One of you needs to fess up. Or, like I said, it was done on autopilot and you just don't remember doing it.
