I always make a FaceTime video call with my friends so here I find one post concerning the topic here. It just tells several feasible ways to capture a Facebook video call. I think it should also work for other calls so hope that can be helpful to you.

Well, Facetime app has most of these functions as i am using it on my iphone. Here is the complete guide about it: http://www.bloomtimes.com/facetime-for-pc-windows-and-mac/. Hope it would be helpful.
I'm the OP. What does the facetime app have to do with iOS Call Recorder? I'd like to know if ios call recorder works properly on an iphone but you need to be jailbroken for that i think.

Why is it nefarious to record a phone conversation?

In California (where I am located) and other states, as well, it is illegal to record a phone call unless both parties are aware of the recording, that is the reason why many means of recording calls have an automatic beep in them. OP wants to be able to record calls without the beep, seemingly so that the other party is not aware of the recording. Hence the "nefarious" reference.

I'm the OP and no, I don't have any "nefarious" intentions. Where I live it is perfectly legal. I suffer from short term memory loss, so when calling a shop for example it would be convenient to record the conversation to recall the details. The beep would just freak out people so therefore looking for a solution without the beep.

OP, It would not freak them out if you told them about it when you started recording.
