That native image quality thing... I imagine that takes away the blurriness from the wall textures too right? I knew something was off - the little things like handbags in the shopping areas, watermelons, chickens, etc all looked great... but the walls looked washed out. Wondering if this fixes that. That's 1 of 2 complaints I personally have about the game. The other is the on/off sound effects when you come and go from buildings, which may also be a setting heh.
Yeah, setting the image quality to native and SSAO high should fix it. The image quality on "extra" is actually terrible and it's what was being compared in the image you saw(the unfuzzy picture was on native). The game's controls are even more responsive than MWF2 and when playing on dediservs it almost feels like being on a modern version of Quake Live with how fast paced and smooth the experience is.

I've been playing the Spec Ops survival mode as well as the Spec Ops Missions mode and the difficulty is a little too high... Survival gets way too difficult by just wave 11 or so.

The game doesn't look all that bad considering just about anyone can max it out with solid FPS. Also running it on native image quality is important:

whoa thanks dude. game looks so much better now!

Need people to play with. Been playing BF3 so I'm terrible at this.
Having a hard time focusing on what to play because with BF3 I couldn't play COOP due to Battlelog being a bit wacky for me so I only had MP but on MWF3 I've ended up playing more of the Spec Ops Survival and Missions modes than the MP but I'm also pretty big on games like L4D2 and Killing Floor. Anyway my Steam, Origin, Battlelog, Youtube, etc. name is Zubinen.

I keep stunning myself pressing q thinking it's spot :$

Wow everything I remember I hated about MW is back. Host disconnected migrating hosts.... 3 minutes later, Host failed to migrate connection timed out.

Uh... so make your classes in private match and then use them on dedicated servers? No need to rank up when everything is already unlocked & waiting for you. 😛

Played some BLOPS last night and realized how badly I hate playing shoot em games like this on the Xbox. I have a very hard time getting used to using the game controller to aim.

Since I picked up MW3 on the PC, I loaded it up last night after the kids went to bed and played for an hour or so and found the experience much more enjoyable. I'm able to consistently put a 2-3 round burst into an enemy in the head and drop them. Control is much more precise, which in turn makes gameplay more fun. Can't wait to finish it tonight or this weekend.

Yup, exactly how FPS games should be played in my opinion.

I'm starting to agree with the people on metacritic. It really is cheesy, stale, and borked with the P2p and no rank dedi's.

I just finished the single player campaign and thought it was pretty great. Better than MW2 single player.

What the hell does this have to do with what you quoted?
He was bitching about playing matchmaking games using players as hosts... not a problem if you play on a dedicated server, the way multiplayer games should be. 😛

I just threw in the make a class in private match part because the last 2 nights every 20 seconds or so someone else asks how do I make a custom class? Why can't I use my custom classes? How do I get that gun? Etc.

I still don't understand the people bitching about no ranked dedicated servers. You just have to look at it like you're already max rank, max prestige, with everything unlocked. That's the whole reason you rank up - to unlock shit. It's already unlocked! STFU already! 😡

Ranking up and unlocking stuff is the main enjoyment for most people and they shouldnt be subjected to that p2p/IWNET bullshit just to play the way they want to play. Dedicated servers should be ranked "the way multi-player games should be".

Exactly. That's like playing WoW and getting a character that's maxed out and all the gear right away. Whats the point in achieving anything?

If you find ranking up to the main enjoyment in an FPS game, I you might want to reevaluate why you're playing the game in the first place. It strikes me as a cheap mechanic to distract you from the game's flaws. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

UT, CS, and the original CoD games didn't use level up systems, and they were all great games. I don't plan on buying MW3, but this was a very good move in my opinion.

I dont have a problem with server admins being able to unlock things from the get go, but people should have a choice to be able to play on ranked servers also. IWNET and p2p for pc games is just flat out retarded, if you want that crap go play on a console.

Edit: I got suckered on MW2 and said never again would I play another p2p multi player PC game. Black Ops worked just fine with ranked dedis but for some reason IW is clinging to this failed p2p system. Besides, BF3 will keep me busy for a long time.

I'm level 1 on MWF3 and have been playing exclusively on the unranked dedicated servers, the main reason being that I hate having to unlock everything, p2p doesn't affect me since I live in NYC where it's easy to get sub 20 ping matches even for older games like COD 6. For people that are into COOP the spec ops survival mode is fantastic, it replaces L4D2 and Killing Floor for me.
