I bought COD:MW for the PC, but much prefer Battlefield 1.

You must be like me with the current shooters. I keep jumping on the hype train with some yet i keep going back to the classics. I much prefer BF4 over any of the BF series. I play it daily still while i already quit BF1 and BF5.

As far as getting this COD i got reservations. I heard you more or less need the reflexes of Chuck Norris tweaking on meth and crack rocks cause of the 0.0001 time to kill . Also if i want years of enjoyment assuming the game is that good, it more or less will prob be dead the second the next one comes out minus perhaps BO4 this time cause people like Blackout i guess. Also from what i have seen whats warranting a day one install size of 175gb? I checked and both BF1 and BF5 combined come under that. Even games like Destiny 2 which i got free never get installed cause if your gonna require 150+ gb on dated textures there damn well better be some porn buried in the game files. Also i heard and saw some videos of day one issues of course, what blockbuster title isn't coming with them these days? It's become something of a industry standard.

Is there some kind of thing these days where if a game is so bloated and warrants double the installation size of its competitor, it has to be cutting edge? That's all i gathered outside of some conspiracy theory with the hard drive companies mainly the solid state ones as a gamer worth his weight in salt is most likely putting this game on one to begin with. I may get more into that one in a thread later but right now i am having trouble finding my tin foiled hat.

Despite the negativity i usually watch gameplay and if something catches my eye i may just get it anyways. The new modes with vehicles certainly is going the way of BF which i like. I just don't know if all the issues and if the netcode has been fixed yet. I am sorta getting fat and slow so i rarely can handle the millisecond time to kill. Also hearing cause of the time to kill the game is prone to campers?

My son loves this game, he plays on the PS4 and and he bought this one for me so we could play together as it has cross play. The download was huge 145GB and another 20GB update yesterday. I've been pretty much a BF only player since BF3, the last CoD I spent any significant amount of time on was BO or BO2, cant really remember as they all started running together. But so far I'm enjoying MW's change of pace from BF, its fast, hectic and as an older guy it's been brutal trying to get back in the swing of the twitchy playing style required to be any good at CoD. All the different perks, killstreaks, etc., were pretty overwhelming at first and if my son hadn't walked me through it all I don't know that I would have stuck with it. But every now and then I have a good game and I feel like I might be able to capture that old glory I enjoyed back when I used to play CoD4 competitively, but then the next round I get slaughtered by a bunch of punk kids and I realize.....nah, those days are over. LOL

Played some of it this morning while the new BFV content was downloading. I like it and I'll get back to it after I unlock this weeks BFV reward.

On a side note; after being amped up from playing MW for a week, I went back into BFV to check out what's new and felt like a beast player as I was running around killing everyone in sight. It made all the pain of getting those MW twitch juices flowing again all worthwhile. LOL

This game is still enjoyable for me, and like DeadFred stated, just different game play than BF. Different but good still. I prefer BV, but can escape to this sometimes too. I do get REALLY annoyed by getting shot from buildings all dang map trying to get from point A to B. Seems like all everyone wants to do is immediately get in a building and shoot. Dont care about objectives, just snipe/shoot from elevation. I would like a map or two that is more open, bigger, more BF like. Not as large, just somewhere in-between. Both games do things well, a mix of both would be nice for me. As always, playing with buddies is soooo much better than going alone.

Ground war is somewhat like battlefield. There is more sniping in this version of cod and more camping. But I'm used to it because I come from playing BF too.

Have not gotten through the campaign yet. I have limited time to game, but every time I get an hour to play, there is a huge update. We are simple country folk on DSL so I have to let it download overnight. But it sux that you can't play single player without downloading updates, I'd quit and take my money back if I could. Stupidest thing I have ever encountered in my 15 years of gaming, I'll probably never buy a game through them again.
