Call of Duty: Ghosts, or Black Ops II?

Got a $30 gift card to use on a Steam sale right now. Didn't play either one of these games, and wondering which one is more worth my $30?

Which one has more sheer content? (without any DLC)

I don't care much for PvP because I am horrible at it,(unless its co-op) and prefer single player campaign or fighting against bots or whatever.

Please help me make the right choice.

Thanks!

PS: Please no comments such as "...or get another game because Call of Duty sucks". I am an avid gamer and Steam maniac, so you can bet I have just about anything else for sale that's ever got a rating 9.0 or above.

Definitely Black Ops 2 over Ghosts. While BO2 isnt the greatest in the CoD series, Ghosts was terrible in every possible way.

Ghosts is kind of meh. SP is pretty short. Haven't really touched the MP -- I couldn't find a co-op like in Modern Warfare 4, which was disappointing.

Never played Black Ops I or II. They're on sale, but I really don't like spending more than $15 on Call of Duty games because their SP is so short.

Black Ops 2 is hands down better as an online multiplayer game, I don't think you'd be able to find three people in the world to argue otherwise. I personally enjoyed Ghost's single player more, I didn't find BO2 SP to be very engaging. Ghost's does allow you to play against bots in multiplayer game types alone or with invited friends though and it is actually very fun.

I vote for Black Ops 2. I play mostly single player as well. I thought Ghosts had nice graphics, but didn't care for the story, and the ending was really lame. BO 2 if I recall was one of the better of the recent COD games. I know you said you don't want to hear it, but to be honest, I loved COD 1 and 2 and the first Modern Warfare, but none of the games after those seemed even remotely up to those standards. You could just save the gift card and use it on the new Advanced warfare coming out.

I only have played the recent games because my son has a tradition of getting me a COD game every year for Christmas, and I didn't want to break that tradition. However I think I will ask for a steam gift card this year instead. I for sure don't think any title after Modern Warfare has been worth full price, maybe even not half price, for single player.

Black ops 2 hands down....it has way more replayability if you want to see the different endings....And it had that top down strategic mode that was pretty challenging....you don't necessarily have to play all the way through again to see the different endings either, you can load from certain missions and make different choices from that mission on.

The challenge maps in Modern Warfare 2 were awesome....I must have done the Chateau and oil rig maps 100 times if not more before clearing them..I probably spent 10hrs playing the campaign and 50hrs on those maps..

Neither.

Black ops 2 was the worst fps I have ever tried although I have not tried very many COD games so there is that. Ghosts is just as bad. The AI is horrible.

Just wait for the ARMA Anniversary Pack to go on sale again for like 13 dollars cash.

Black Ops II, no question.

Stay far, far away from Ghosts. I bought it for two dollars from Target via one of their pricing loopholes and it's barely worth that.
