Personally I think the game is very well balanced. No more killstreak kills which is awesome. I hated that in mw2. Call in a predator get 2 ppl, call in a harrier get 4 people then call in a chopper gunner. I think black ops is a much better game then MW2.

You have to earn your killstreaks unless you use hardline pro and get lucky. No more friggin commando pro is the best thing about this game

Played some combat training just now, 1v8 on recruit, and it's a lot of fun. I feel like I'm a badass, very much unlike when I play online. Even though it's easy, I think it might actually help me aim and get a shot off quicker, since even on recruit, the enemies will kill you quickly if you give them a second or two.

I liked it so much that I may actually go through and try to unlock everything and do challenges just for the fun of it. I actually got to use the chopper gunner for the first time on Nuketown and went 66-5 in just 5 minutes. 😀 I don't care if it's on Recruit difficulty, it's a lot more fun than going 4-20 like I did in the domination game last night with Kabob and Buc. 🙁

Then you might like this little challenge 😀 I'm going to give it a shot at some point myself

So I played a little FFA earlier today. I did well in the first couple matches and went 30-5 with a silenced FAMAS and my little rocket to shoot spy planes out of the sky so I can get Ghost Pro.

I used Spy Plane, Blackbird, and Dogs as my streaks. No one was saying anything until I got my dogs and then one of the dudes started cursing up a storm about my cute little pups :awe:

for those that have prestige what else do you lose besides all the unlocked Weps and Pro perks?

Does your money get reset to 0?, do you lose access to the player card and player tags as well as the custom skins/reticle and all that or does that stay?

im getting close and want to know what gets reset and such before i do it, because if some of that stays and money gets reset ill just blow it on the silly stuff

Yes, you lose all your money. Before you prestige buy any labels and playertag pictures that you can.
You keep all the icons/pictures associated with your player card.
I don't remember if your custom skins/reticles stay but I don't think they do. I'm getting ready to prestige again for the 2nd time today, about 12k XP away. I'll try to pay attention this time.

I played Combat Training for the first time ever this morning as well, might a well be called shooting gallery! (on normal at least). Got the achievement in 3 rounds and that's probably all I'll play.

I <3 Sticks and Stones, so much fun to be had with a party there!

My KDR has gone up quite a but lately, probably since I've played a good bit of FFA and Mercenary TDM, not a many stellar opponents. I agree Firebird, you can look like an all star in FFA. I ran Spy Plane, Attack Chopper, and Huey and I got a Huey pretty much every game, the guys I played with were really cool though.

I won't be on for most of the week, don't y'all prestige too much beyond me!

Actually I heard your reticles DO stay, but you can't use them until you unlock the ability to change them again. Once you get to that level though, supposedly your reticles are back. Not positive though, just what I've heard.

That is correct. Of course it's still per gun.

I'm honestly starting to question the straightness of the gaming community, i think i've seen more dicks as emblems than i can count in my 2 hands 2 feet, then some 4 other people's hands and feets. Pathetic...

If it makes you feel better I have a smiley face with gargantuan tits.

On a side note. Anybody here got a background in graphics design, advertising, typography, etc?
PM me.

I love the intro and transition scenes in the campaign. The 60's CIA dossier feel looks awesome. I am thinking about making some wallpapers or something.

I was playing with a couple of friends last night in multiplayer, until the lag got to us. Then one of them introduced me to the combat training, and I had a blast!! Like many of you, its fun and I believe has helped my gaming and aiming, not to mention I can spend money on guns and combos to try them out before I do in the real game. So if you haven't tried it yet, do it. Make the settings where your team has 1 person (you), and the other team has 9. Make the time unlimited, and the points to 30,000. Its a blast.. I stayed up until 4 a.m. blasting bots..

My KDR has been on a major downward spiral from playing GW with my squad. I was pwning when the game came out and I was playing mostly mtdm. Honestly, it's a lot more fun playing as a team with my friends, so I don't really care about the KDR.

BTW, I fired up some MW2 over the weekend and I there's still a ton of people that play that and the matchmaking is still so much better. You can literally, hit GW, and get into a game or game lobby right away. Why can't it be the same for Black Ops?

I've run into a really annoying glitch two times now where I've had the Valkyrie rockets and as soon as I fire off a missile it blows up immediately and kills me. I can repeat this 5-6 times probably as much as I want to as well. I just didn't want to have 20 deaths from repeating the same crap over and over. Basically, the rockets stay available to me and I can never use them. Anyone else seen this?

That's a known glitch. Treyarch put it up on their list of things they are working on when they posted the details of the last patch.

It only happens under 'certain conditions' according to them but they don't say what those conditions are.
