I forgot nobody is allowed to criticize games anymore. We have to accept the glaring mismanagement of development time when something is noticeably broken. Let me just roll over and let every developer do this so bugs never get fixed.

I didn't realize I had purchased an Apple product.
You criticized it. Move on.

Criticize all you want. Just don't be surprised when people mock you for latching on to something so incredibly mundane and insignificant.

*sigh* did you stop to think that maybe you can't name it Assault because then there'd be 2 identical class names? Try naming something 'support' or one of the other classes and see what happens.

*sigh* don't you read a whole post when you quote it?

back on an important topic. the patch really didn't fix anything with with partying with friends. it took us near 30 minutes to get 5 people in the same lobby. sometimes invites do nothing at all when you accept them. sometimes they look like they are working and you get a "session not found" or "no longer exists" game still will lock up and do nothing for 1-5 minutes when trying to connect. and then when you do actually manage to get everyone in the party, the game will sit at "tying to balance teams" forever with 12/12 people in the lobby. or you will start a game and 1-3 people will get kicked the moment it starts and cant rejoin it.

oh and also the "leave with party" option has never worked

@Joph and Raven, i didn't take your invites last night because i was online with work buddies,

For those that use headsets while playing MP, do you feel like you have an advantage(sound whoring)? Or does it just add to the experience?

I don't really think anybody is upset about it, it's just more of a "what the fuck..." kind of thing.

At least that's how I feel. Its just so...odd. Like I said, it has no rhyme or reason. It's baffling. Its the least thing I care about, I just cant figure out what they were thinking.

Yes. 🙂

If you're going to be condescending, at least be right.

It seemed to work a lot better for a 6-man party last night, which was usually near impossible.

But if other people are still having problems, again, I just cant understand how they essentially broke something that was already working? It clearly isnt a capacity thing anymore. Why couldnt they just copy the perfectly fine and working MW2 lobby code?

Yes, it absolutely helps. Its nothing you also couldnt do with a good surround sound system and a quiet room, but now you can definitely hear footsteps coming around a corner. It also adds quite a bit to the experience, but thats also very dependent on how good your headphones are.

My copy is still in the wrapping (New Vegas has been keeping me tied up), and I think I'm going to just return it. A friend brought his copy over and I watched him play some online, and then we played a map of zombies. Zombies is completely worthless, what a stupid mode, and the online just looked bland.

I'll borrow it from him for the campaign at some point.

I played some domination last night and we just had a small group playing ... got lucky and had a gunship almost right off the bat, was thinking of throwing that portion on youtube.

I've had different experiences with the patch. Was able to get into games just fine without losing anyone with 6 people, 5 people, and 3 people together. I had to back out once because it took too long to find a game but after I backed out and requeued my team, it found a game pretty quick.

The patch broke Gunship though, I got a Gunship but it wouldn't let me control it. Instead, it flew around in a circle on autopilot like a chopper gunner. Problem is, I could only shoot straight!

The patch fixed our party dropping issues, but they only solved half the issue. The other half is that when you do get your party into a game it takes FOREVER to find enough opponents to start a game. The game repopulation issue still exists...and it sucks.

Will have to try more tonight. The game only had trouble finding opponents once out of five attempts and on that one attempt, we just backed out and went back in. Found players within 10 seconds. I could just be lucky.

I still saw problems with host migration not working last night. Some guys at work said they didn't have any problems with their party though. Maybe they'll get the issues sorted out before MMOCoD comes out next year.

i play with very loud speakers and a overly sensitive mic

people hate me when i tell them to deal with it

Well realistically what good is a mic if everyone chooses to mute you? Maybe you think it's their problem but chances are you're using a mic to absolutely no effect.

Got a 54 -4 round last night. From what I've heard the AUG is overpowered, but personally I do much better with the FAMAS.

The Aug is great if you can control it's left-to-right kick which I find hard personally. I've decided I don't like the FAMAS at all. It looks good on paper but the Galil is still my go-to gun. It's kick is straight upward which I find easier to manage. If I could control the Aug as well as I could control the Galil I'd use it exclusively.

I've heard people say the FAMAS is overpowered, but never the AUG. Personally, I don't think either is particularly overpowered. Heck, other than a slight difference in recoil direction they handle nearly identically.

The Galil is great. I'm with you, I don't like the FAMAS or AUG much.

My favorite assault rifles are the Commando, Galil, Enfield, and AK47 (in that order). The only thing I think the Galil lacks is decent sights.

Oh, we had such a close game last night. Played with a few friends TDM on Nuke Town and we were losing badly (we had a random who was so-so). We get near the end and it's 4800-6500 and I have a care package, I mentally say "if there's any justice in the world I'll get a Huey!"

Well, I didn't ge ta Huey...I got a Gunship :awe: I tell my team (who's in a party, our random couldn't hear!) to hang back away from danger and let me try to even the odds...

While the other team hid in the yellow house as best they could, the splash damage still made a mess of 'em. We fell just short in the end and lost 7300-7500, but it was so close!
