I know this is kinda random but has anybody drove through a window in multiplayer? I was sprinting away from a granade when I decided to dive; when I did I dove perfectly out the window. I just didn't know that was suppose to happen.

One time i was diving through a window, and was killed in midair...it was a remarkable shot by the enemy. I couldn't believe it.

i dove out a window and killed myself because of the fall, i also accidentally dove off of Summit and plunged to my death

BTW- I got a good 10 or so games of domination in last night. This was a diversion for me, as I always only play TDM.

The first round was no fun. At first I thought we were just really good, because they didnt try to get any flags. Until all of a sudden it was raining killstreaks. They must be using the hardline pro and had a clan working together. We went out to like a 80-0 lead, and all of a sudden there were dogs, hueys, the whole map was death and we never got a flag back. It was not fun.

We left that lobby, though, and had some really fun, competitive games. I see why people like it. It can be super chaotic, and there are some definite advantage set ups (flak jacket, gas mask with nova canisters come to mind as a great class for the middle of a round when you're trying to steal like a "B" flag).

I think one of the most intense (and sometimes frustrating) game types is Demolition. You can be 8 seconds away from winning a game and with a lucky/coordinated attack from the opposing team, you can lose the game.

When you're defending the bomb sites you can rack up the kills, but when your trying to plant the bombs your ratios go to way down, huge swings from game to game.

Are you playing by yourself or with a party? Also, is the voting option for the previous map gone completely or does it only present the voting option once (i.e. the previous map is voted for and won, so next time it doesn't show)?

Just myself, no party. The map is still listed but it reads something similiar to "not available"

This game is so amazing you can't name your class assault due to inappropriate language... A class that only the player will ever see can't be named something that is in the game multiple times... Seriously?

Yeah, that was already discussed a couple pages ago. Some people will nitpick about anything. I for one am glad it wasn't their highest priority to make sure people could name their classes assault.

That doesn't make any sense. It takes more effort to block class titles than it does to allow them.

Exactly. Its mind boggling. I've had a class named assault in every other CoD game with create a class. Its such an obvious class name. I also cant name a class assassin either, for the same reason. Its such a stupid oversight.

And like he said, no one sees it but you. I cant certainly understand why you cant name your gamertag something obscene, but if I want to name my own personsal class "horse fucker", why on earth cant I?

Mind you this is the same game where I've seen such artistic emblems as a damn near perfect nazi flag, an emblem that literally spelled out "FUCK YOU", and more ejaculating cocks than I care to recall.

I couldn't use "hacker" either...???

Yeah, I personally love demolition, but its another gametype thats really frustrating to play with randoms, as I seem to be the only person willing to put my life on the line to defuse or plant the bomb. I'm frequently the highest scorer with the lowest ratio.

People do realize that their TDM K/D ratio isnt affected by their demolition K/D ratio, right?

I actually just tested a few names, hoping its changed with the new patch.

Assault - still not ok
Ass - not ok
Assass - not ok
Assassi - OK
Assassin - OK - although I swear it wasnt before

Hack - ok
Hacke - ok
Hacker - NOT ok

Horse Fucker - still not ok 😛

WTF? This has no rhyme or reason. How is assassin ok, containing the word ass twice, but assault still "profane". In a game with ASSAULT RIFLES. Seriously, wtf? And what on earth is profane about hacker? It aint the hack part for sure.

Also, footsteps are now noticeably louder. Maybe not entirely up to MW2 loudness as walls still occlude them to some degree, but ninja is actually worthwhile now.

But back onto the name topic:

Assassin is ok, so its not merely the presence of the word "ass". "Assault" is not ok, but "assaulty" IS, so its also not merely the presence of the word assault. So they went out of their way to ban you from naming your class "Assault" exactly, yet decided that naming a preconfigured class "Assault" is fine.

I thought that there might be a chance this is to prevent confusion between preconfigured classes, but you can still name a class "CQB".

So the only rational conclusion I can draw from this is that whoever decided this is a god damn moron.

I don't really think anybody is upset about it, it's just more of a "what the fuck..." kind of thing.

I am upset about it. To think they took time out of developing important things, like a decent spawning system for instance, to limit what I can name classes only I can fucking see upsets me greatly. And, I love how the game is rated M, implying it isn't for kiddies, but feels I am not mature enough to name my class a fucking name used in the game multiple times.

*sigh* did you stop to think that maybe you can't name it Assault because then there'd be 2 identical class names? Try naming something 'support' or one of the other classes and see what happens.

get. The. Fuck. Over. It.

I forgot nobody is allowed to criticize games anymore. We have to accept the glaring mismanagement of development time when something is noticeably broken. Let me just roll over and let every developer do this so bugs never get fixed.

I didn't realize I had purchased an Apple product.
