Glad to see theyre working on it at least, but kinda dissapointed they seem to be happy with the weapon balance. I guess that's unlikely to ever change, it's not like this is taken as seriously as Starcraft or anything.

I don't really see an issue with the weapons balance. In fact, from what I've seen with what my friends and other players are saying, the weapons are balanced very well. Some people dislike the FAMAS, some love it. Some do not like the feel of the AK47, some love it. They've finally made weapons balanced so that the player's choice is through personal feel, not because it's the obvious choice since it packs considerable more killing power than something else.

i agree.. i do see famas and ak47u all over the place.. i did not like the feel of the famas. i prefer the galil right now.. but i keep hearing good things about the fal(i think) and commando.. i dont have either right now.

When you prestige do you lose your face paint, camo for guns, and playercard insignia's?

I know thats petty, but Ive spent some money on that stuff and wanna keep it 🙂

You have to re-unlock face paint/camo and re-purchase.

You do keep all of your player tag stuff that you bought. You have to unlock the ability to customize it again, but once you do, all the stuff you previously bought such as layers, icons and stuff like that will be there still. I spent all of my cash before I prestiged on stuff like this.

You keep all playercard related stuff, although you oddly still can't edit it until you earn that ability back.

You also keep recticle customizations per gun (once you unlock that ability again), but not camos. So as soon as you attach a red dot you can use your yellow smiley face.

But honestly, prestige is no fun in this game. You lose too much and it comes too soon. You won't start seriously unlocking pro perks till the mid 30s, some of the better weapons come at the end. And it locks you out of all of the customization stuff for no good reason.

huh? did they limit how many times you can play the same map over and over again?

Yup, apparently some people didn't like it. Me? I loved the Nuke Town loops...

Damn, you lose all your pro perks when you prestige too? Now I'm seriously reconsidering prestiging.

Why would you think you'd keep your pro perks? Isn't the point of prestiging starting from scratch? The only thing that doesn't affect how restarting plays out is your emblem and such, which you keep.

I honestly don't understand the big deal about prestiging. Don't let people push you into it. It's just a bad idea all around - you lose everything! All in exchange for a little icon by your name!

Some people like it because they are just addicted to unlocking stuff, but if you enjoy the game itself more than the unlocking meta-game, don't prestige.

Some people want/need those extra custom class slots.

That map is great for my score, as I get absolutely ridiculous k/d on that map (15 - 1 and even 20 - 1 isn't at all uncommon) but it gets old really really fast. It's a simple basic map that's fun for raw carnage but some variety is nice. There are a lot of good maps in this game:

- Array
- Summit
- Havana
- Cracked (it's growing on me)
- Grid
- Villa
- Launch (also growing on me)

I'm also really getting into the Theater. Now when people talk a bunch of smack and brag about how they owned this or that, it can be verified and is totally out of their control. And when I tell someone how I owned they don't have to take my word for it.

I usually prestige enough to get 2 extra slots. I don't care about the icon and I don't get off on leveling except for the first time around. I just want a few extra slots. Some maps call for a very specific loadout that doesn't apply anywhere else so they're nice to have.

Yep... I like to have a lot of slots because depending on what mode i'm playing my kits could be different. Oh well.. prestiging isn't for everyone but I think it's fun enough.
