I've unlocked Hardline Pro and Warlord Pro without too much issue. I'm working on others right now. I really enjoy the challenges to unlock these, I don't know why so many people seem to be complaining about them.

I got up to level 28 after quite a few hours playing Friday night. If I keep playing long enough to hit the level cap, I honestly don't know if I'll prestige. I don't want to go through the grind of unlocking everything.

Yesterday I unlocked Ghost Pro, Warlord Pro and Last Stand Pro.

I would like to unlock Scavenger Pro, Hardline Pro, and Marathon Pro. I haven't used those yet.

Played too much Black Ops yesterday, pseudo fried my brain. The secret "Five" level is neat but too crazy for me, I like the way the mansion plays out MUCH more honestly. There's method to the madness, albeit crazy, hectic method. Really your success in zombie mode depends on your luck with the mystery box. I pulled a Thunder Gun and a Ray Gun in succession at the start of the game once, another time I tried five times and got Crossbow, LAW, Sniper, Sniper, Python (thankfully the last two were from a fire sale box or I'd be broke!). There needs to be a way to share funds/weapons with teammates, too often you'll get two or three guys with decent weapons and the fourth guy has nothing decent.

Overall the mode is alot of fun, but I can only take so much zombie at a time.

Played Sticks and Stones again with a group of AVS/AT guys and had a blast, getting tomahawked with seconds left SUCKS! Great fun though.

I think I'm near the end of the campaign as well, personally I think it's pretty interesting, not quite as fluid as the CoD 4/MW2 campaigns but not bad. It has a very Platoon/Apocalypse Now feel to the majority of it. A few neat missions, nothing sticks out quite like "Ghillies in the Mist" or "Death from Above" from CoD 4.

Still waiting for them to fix the lobby system, I really don't want to play MP until they do as 50%+ of my game time has been spent trying to find a game. When I do it's alright but when you don't it sucks.

Also, Hardline Pro = the most overpowered perk in the game, getting to reroll 3 care packages per streak is ridiculous.

I'm at level 46 now, Commando is definitely my weapon of choice ATM. I'm sure I'll prestige but I don't like any of the low level weapons as much as I did those in MW2...

I can't decide what I like better. Stealth Package with Commando (Ghost Pro, Steady Aim, Ninja + Silencer) or G11. I'm not sure what to use with the G11, so far I have it with my stealth package, minus the silencer since you can't put one on a G11.

Narrative-wise, I think it is better than MW2 but not as good as COD4. Has a better flow and doesn't jump around as much. It helps that it mostly sticks with one character.

Though it does suffer from the dreaded flashback within a flashback at one point.

Played some more over the weekend.

The two things that consistently are bugging me are: 1. no one uses a sentry gun so i can't get ghost pro. In all of the games i've played (i think i'm like level 35 or so) i've only seen an enemy sentry gun one time, and by the time i got to it, someone else had already destroyed it. Basically I just can't get ghost pro. That is really annoying and a bad design.

The other thing is the spawning. I think it is much worse than in MW2. I will literally have guys spawn right behind me. Or i'll spawn right next to a bad guy. In pretty much all the levels you see this happen, but obviously nuketown is the worst.

I'm having fun with it still, but these things are really bothersome.

only at 13 now. have had too much personal BS going on to get any time in the game(gf and i parted). hopefully i'll be on a lot after all this stress passes.

My friend uses tactical insertion all the time, and uses it well. I bet a lot of people get pissed off because they think the game is spawning him too close when he's just being smart about using his equipment.

The spawning is really really terrible. An example from last night:

I don't recall the map, but I had just died and spawned. I had something in my eye so I didn't run off right away. A few seconds later I start moving, and you know how the screen jutters/skips when you run into another player? Yea that happened. I look up at the mini map and didn't see a green arrow. I do a quick glance in every direction and see someone on the other team running off to my left. They literally spawned him right next to me.

They need to fix the spawn issue.

I think this is a HUGE thing that many people are overlooking. The spawning can be bad at times, but most times it's been because someone was using Tactical insertion and I had to track down the spot where they kept planting it to take care of them.

so you can use hardline pro to upgrade sam turrets and sentry drops? no effing way, that is ridiculous. If this is true then pretty soon we're going to see a lot of abuse once all the kiddies get hardline pro.

I don't see many people running hardline pro. Most people seem to be running ghost or scavenger. I have people freak out on me when I change my care packages and they're trying to get them, or I tell someone I can swap theirs for them if they'd like.

But yes, it is seriously OP.

Scavenger is a waste. There's something the game doesn't tell you about the dual mags attachment - you also get two extra clips (150 spare bullets instead of 90 with an AR) in addition to the faster every other reload. So it does make sense to use it with warlord - and warlord pro gives you an extra lethal and tac nade. So why waste your major tier 1 perk on scavenger when with warlord + dual mags youll have not only more ammo than you'd need from the start, but a faster reload, extra nades, and ghost/hardline/flak jacket/lightweight?

Because honestly, people don't think shit through. Period. I will typically run two setups:

Weapon: Galil
Attachments: Dual Mags + Suppressor
Secondary: Ballistic
Attachment: N/A
Lethal: Tomahawk
Tactical: Decoy
Equipment: Claymore
Perk 1: Ghost Pro
Perk 2: Warlord Pro
Perk 3: Ninja

Weapon: Galil
Attachments: Dual Mags + Reflex Site
Secondary: LAW or China Lake
Attachment: N/A
Lethal: Semtex
Tactical: Nova
Equipment: Claymore
Perk 1: Hardline Pro
Perk 2: Warlord Pro
Perk 3: Ninja

Pretty simple 🙂

I love slight of hand pro as well. Steady aim pro is meh. Ninja pro is pretty awesome with no sound at all.

Ghost pro with no red name pop up is what I want since the skins look so much alike between teams.

Olympia + Lightweight + SoH + Marathan

You'll hate me!

Yup, anything that comes from a dropped crate. Methinks they'll patch that soon. At least I hope so. I discovered that on about day 2, since then I've seen alot more people using it.

And I honestly don't think they've changed the spawn system at all. I think it's the maze-iness of the maps that are contributing to a higher amount of shitty spawns. Other than the start of a round, there are no predetermined spawn spots. It basically just follows a few rules-

1- don't spawn in anyones line of sight
2- spawn close to another teammate
3- dont spawn with an enemy in your LoS even if his back is turned

In the wider open mw2 maps, basically the only places where those 3 rules could be fulfilled were in corners on the edge of the map, or often with a flanking teammate. Now, there are so many nooks and crannys in the corridors that you can easily end up spawning right around the corner from an enemy and generally fulfill all those rules.

But remember, for every time a shitty spawn has screwed you, you've screwed someone else's shitty spawn, so at least it's fair. The alternatives aren't really that rosy - make you wait to spawn for a better spot, or have predetermined spawn spots - hello spawn camping. Its not like this is the first game to get you killed shortly after a spawn - I can't imagine a way to really solve this 100% of the time without making things worse. The way it is now is the lesser of evils.

Unfortunately it doesn't follow those three rules very well. The other day I was shooting at an enemy and another bad guy spawned 45 degrees to my front/right (maybe 20 feet away?) and immediately started shooting at me. I'm positive there was no TI on the ground, it just picked a bad spawn.

But you've named one occasion out of several hundred if not thousand spawns that you and others around you experienced. There's no way it can be 100% effective. It's annoying when a crap spawn does happen, but 95%+ of the time your spawn is fine.
