I enjoy (and am reasonably good at) MW2 quite a bit, and I'm not touching Black Ops. I do not buy Treyarch crap. That doesn't mean no one should buy it.

Can't we all just get along 🙁

Good to know that if someone doesn't like a game it's because they suck at it...I got a bit burned out on MW2 myself, does that mean I suck at it? I figured a 2.1:1 kill ratio with over 50K kills and a 2:1 win ratio meant I was at least halfway decent.

Maybe you should spend more time enjoying your games and less times telling other people they suck. I like CoD games, zero doesn't, good for both of us.

Yeah, because the intention of my post was to hurt you...

I'm not whining, I'm getting Black Ops, I pre-ordered it the day after Reach came out. I just think that judging people and saying the reason they don't like something is because they are probably bad at it is...well..juvenile.

crappy mp hosting, lots of cheating and no kick/ban, no coop

and zombies


that may not be your thing, and thats fine, like beev points out. but your opinion is not the right way. plenty of people love coop gameplay and bigger servers

why dont you try it first and then pass judgement and i'm not saying that to be a dick or anything dont take it the wrong way but WAW wasn't that bad and you never know how this game might turn out, it could be better than past releases.

Dont preorder but rent or try a friends copy, you might like it, the worst thing you can do is judge a book by its cover.

I never listen to reviewers. I think I will probably get it on gamefly myself, so I can at least give the game a chance before I make up my mind. I am just really hoping that the online is bugged like MW2 was on launch, and I hope that the story is good.
 
Amazon dropped the price of all versions by $5. That + the $40 credit I have on the order means I'm paying $15 for the game...unless it goes lower!! 😀
 
Yeah, with the money I will make from selling Medal of Honor, I am only going to have to pay $20 for Black Ops, so I will give it a try and hope for the best.

I didn't like WaW, so that's where my basis comes from. Also, by your logic no one knows if BO will be any good at all 😛. It could be worse than CoD 3
 
Yeah, if you go to the MoH forum, you will see why I am selling it. And I figure, if I can get CoD for around $20, it will be worth it. Plus I have read a lot about the barebones playlist, and I will be playing that a lot so I don't have to deal with killstreaks (my main gripe with COD games).
 
Well MW2 was my favorite game of last year so i preordered black ops (by they way abbreviating it to BO just looks wrong).

Why were some people so unhappy with WaW? I get that it isn't infinity ward, but is it just the use of the call of duty name by a different developer that gets people upset or was it really not good?

I understand that Call of Duty 3 was Trecyarch and i remember renting that when xbox 360 first came out and thought it was pretty good at the time...

I dunno. I thought WAW was fine, though I still haven't finished the SP or even player the MP. Zombies FTW too. Heh
