My wife loves COD2. She just discovered that I've been playing it online and there is still an active community. She wants to play it with me (so she can "kill me") but I only have one copy of the game. Do you guys know if there is still a server that checks to see if more than one person is using the same code for online play?

The Steam option is the other option I gave her. I'm installing it on her laptop now and i'll see what happens when we both try to play. At least I'll answer the question about sharing one game code.

Ok the results. One copy that I've had for years allows both of us to play Multiplayer at the same time.

Your confused, I only had one copy. The option was to buy a Steam version of the game.

But for those of you that still have COD2 there is still a active community and lots of servers to choose from. There is also a active COD4 community, which I also still play.

CoD4 will also allow more than one to play the same copy as long as everyone is using the same IP address.
