Yeah it happens to me occasionally...I just waited for awhile and it worked again...prbly a game engine problem...the new patch should fix it(prbly be availble sometime in late JAN.)

BTW did you dl the "semi" patch 1.1 it fixes problem for dual core processors.

it hasnt happened in ANY other game, ever. This is a very stable OC, and even though its just an ASPIRE PSU, it can definately handle my power workload. Its rated at 500W max output, and im running nowhere near 500W.

Run memtest or prime 95 on it overnight and see what happens. Also, as mentioned, see if the problem persists when running at stock speeds.

Post the full specification of the PSU as well, just because it says 500W doesn't mean it's going to be stable when pushed.

but thats the thing, a 500W rating means its max is 500W, so its not nearly being pushed, my system barely hits 300 probably. also, i have tried prime 95 and im pretty retarted, because i couldnt really figure it out.

Doesn't matter if every other game works fine. You can never count out an overclock until you drop it to stock speeds and observe again. There has been articles explaining the weird and random errors showing up now that many people overclock.

And that's not the thing, it probably says that riced out crap can maybe have a max output of ~450W and you're system wouldn't ever get close to running on a 300 W. Wattage is hardly the whole picture too plus the quality of cheap PSUs means its nowhere near capable of actually powering a 500 W-required system.

QFT - and if you couldn't figure out prime95, start with running memtest overnight. The problem you are seeing looks very much like it could be the PSU
