After playing DoD:S for awhile I really enjoy the damage model it is using. Head shot is an instant kill while upper body takes 3 or 4 hits to make a kill.

While playing COD 2, I've been getting really frustrated with having to empty half a clip just to kill someone. Considering most battles are close quarters, it's not hard to hit someone so it's definitely not because I can't aim.

I was also in debelief that a German on a MG42 that I sniped right in his face did not die with the first shot. I had to shoot him again in the face after ducking first cause he riddled the window I shot him from with machine gun fire. Com'on, what's the point of having a sniper role if you have shoot them twice everytime.

It's a good game but doesn't really bring anything new other than prettier graphics.

You dont need innovation, EA has shown the world that recycling is not only good for the environment, but it's good for bidness.

Enough said.

THE FACE dude, he said the face. Still, when somebody is wearing a helmet many designers give the entire head region the armor bonus to make life easier instead of making the head out of different parts and only giving the part w/ the helmet an armor bonus. That's my guess anyways.

He had one of those rare full head helmets, the first shot blew off the face part, and the 2nd shot finished him off. :D

i also found that kind of ridiculous- but it didn't ruin the game for me. I wonder if the difficulty affects how many shots the enemies can take

I'm playing it on the second difficulty level and many times I was getting my ass handed to me. Well that was when I was trying to be Commando and went in guns blazing. Had to resort back to the duck, lean and shoot strategy.

Are you talking about single player? I noticed that in single player as well and it's definately annoying. Multiplayer is a different animal though since most people drop in a number of shots relative to the weapon you're using. One shot from a Kar will usually take people down while it usually takes a few good shots from an auto.

It was the same way in CoD 1, you could never kill someone with 1 shot even if it was in the head.

O well since I haven't played the game I'll take your word for it ;). Everybody knows that full head helmets were common place in WWII, so it's a good thing that SOMEBODY finally added them :D.
