Call of Duty 2 trouble...

Installed the game about 3-4 times now, no luck. When starting I run the game and screen goes black then back to desktop. Error I get is as follows.


Error during initilization: Couldn't load material $default



No clue what the problem can be, anyone have any ideas/thoughts?


Amd 64bit 3000 venice.
Radeon 9800 pro updated drivers.
Windows XP Home edition
2 gigs of ram.




Any help would be very appreciated

Try re-installing the game.And are you overclocking?

Ive reinstalled many times, and no overclocking. (Although after running the demo I think overclocking would help with performance )

Do you still have the demo installed? If so, uninstall it

I installed the demo after I installed the regular game to see if it was a problem with the graphics or something. I just wanted to see if the demo would run.
