Call of Duty 2 savegames won't load??

I am nearly at the end of Call of Duty 2 but for some reason, my save game will no longer load. It just hangs at the same point around 70% in the loading bar. Has anyone else had or heard of this problem? I can't get the console to shut off via remote either, could it be it's hanging? Other than this, it's working flawlessly, but I sure as hell don't want this to become a current occurence...

Any ideas to get it to work or??

And no Xbox bashing for god sakes, there are plenty of other places to do that.

game bug sounds like it , you do have other saves? ! call up activation and bug them till they solve the problem or release online patch .. if all fails start the game from a earlier level.

I have played COD 2 on my XBOX 360 but the copy was my friend's and it didn't have any issues. I own : PGR 3 , Kameo: Elements of Power ,Perfect Dark Zero, Condemned: Criminal Origins and alot of awesome live acard game ) . XBOX Live arcade brings back many cool memories of my early days of playing games.

Anyways My xbox hasn't had any problems ) , no overheating , no dead hd , no cd scratching drive , no cd read error. same goes for 2 of my pal's xbox 360

I don't have other saves, it seems to always save on the same slot for most games... I have Perfect Dark and Condemned as well which all save to the same slot over and over. Unless I am not paying attention when I save. I was on mission 23 of 27 in CoD 2 so I don't want to restart.
