Call of Duty 1 bug

When I bring up the iron sights, starting with the basic training level, the game seems to chug in slow motion. Plays fine apart from that one thing. Any idea what causes this, and has anyone else encountered it?

have you patched to 1.5?

It's with steam so I guess its the most recent.

What pc are you using to play this?

It far exceeds the requirements, the game runs like butter except when I bring up the iron sights, and even then the choppiness is slight but very noticeable during a firefight.
