Uh, I'm pretty sure he was talking about them physically maturing more quickly, which has absolutely nothing to do with what you're talking about. Read a little more closely ;)

I've heard plenty of things about growth hormones being in the chicken and milk... I'm wondering how true that stuff actually is. A buddy of mine told me of a movie called "The Corporation" where it's said that most milk produced now has some sort of hormone in it to cause the cows to produce more milk (sorry for the bit of a run on!)

As for all of you, I'm 27 (almost 28) and I dont think I can call myself a republican or a democrat (even though that was definately a nice thread-jack). I'll be very happy with whatever sex my child turns out to be, but I think I'll have a tougher time with the girls... and in 13 years, who knows how things will have progressed further?

Racks are also because of all the growth hormones in our livestock that we eat.

Yeah, we could never order KFC for office potlucks because one of the ladies said she saw a special on the way they bread chickens for KFC and other fast food places. Her claim was that they couldn't call themselves Kentucky Fried Chicken any more, becase the creatures they gathered meat from couldn't technically be referred to as chickens any more so they changed it to just KFC.

Still, I don't think hormones in our food are to blame. There have always been 15 year old girls with giant racks, but the difference is they weren't dressing in tight, revealing clothes just to go grocery shopping.

Actually, I prefer McD's new crispy chicken strips to KFC now. And, if you have one near you, Chik-Fil-A is still the absolute best.

/Now THAT is a thread jack.

I gotta go with wendy's though, now and forever. Their salads are good, and they have chili and baked potatos.

I should be fine then, I like the Police but I don't really go for any of Sting's solo stuff.

I was the total opposite. I grew up with the Police and loved them. I also loved Stings 1st solo album (I got it as a present from my XC teammates when I moved). Since then, I think he's gone downhill.

Back to the OP, it's not about being Democrat or Republican. It's about teaching kids what's appropriate or not and hope you set a good example. If you restrict them too much, they'll just do things behind your back. I have a 1 year old and I'm scared about what will be the standard dress when she becomes a teen.
