100 Mhz FSB (200's) and 133Mhz FSB (266's). The bus "runs" at twice the FSB, thus the 200/266.

just the multiplier AFAIK. a 1gig-266 = 7x133, a 1gig-100 = 10*100. If you lower the mult on a 100, you should end up with a 133/266 board

I have a question...

If I don't want to dick around with the pencil trick can I buy the 266MHz chip along with a KT133A board and regular PC133 SDRAM and run it at 133 MHz? Or, do you have to have DDR RAM in order to run the chip at a 133 FSB? Did I make any sense?

I've been o/c'ing my P3 for a while now, but I'm ready for an Athlon...

Thanks!

Not all T-Bird 133 mobos use DDR Ram. Therefore, you do not need DDR Ram to use the 133 fsb. Just buy a mobo that can use a 133 fsb and you're good to go.

any kt133a chipset, with pc133 ram, and a "266" t-bird will run the 133(266) fsb
