Call in 2 weeks

Could mean they need to do a backround check.

If you already work there and they said go home we'll call you in two weeks, get your resume ready.

They might be interviewing more people and will make their decision in a couple of weeks. It is better then having them flat out reject you.

Who knows but honestly I wouldn't get my hopes up with that. After a job interview it's best to assume you're not going to get the job because chances are you won't, given all the competition.

I've had a hiring manager say that they'll call me in two weeks, and then after two weeks they hadn't called. Two weeks after that (so 4 weeks), they called and offered me the job. So you never know.

yeah, it has been my experience to get hired on the spot. anything else is pretty much a loss.
