Call after email resume?

I found a job at computerjobs.com that sounded really interesting so I submitted my resume and a cover letter via email Wednesday afternoon. I was really hoping that I would at least get an email reply today (yesterday? It's almost 2am Friday morning), but nada. Should I try calling the guy that I emailed? What should I ask him? I thought about saying, "Sup, B!tch. Job?", but I don't think that would be very professional. Asking "Did you get my resume?" doesn't leave him very open to say anything else other than "Yes, have a nice day."

Here I am looking for a job as CNN is reporting huge job cuts at Procter & Gamble and Charles Schwab. Bah.

Anyways. Any tips?

The job desc says the position starts April 2 and it requires a drug and background test. It almost seems like Monday is too late. I suppose I'll give the guy a quick ring. I'm supposed to call about a nother job on Monday, that, while it doesn't sound as good, I would still take it because I would actually be earning money.

And of course he was 'away from the phone right now', so I left a voicemail.

Give them at least a week, I faxed a resume and didn't get an application for a week. BTW, this wasn't for the same job 🙂
