California's Prop 19 is the most interesting "election" this year.

Please stop talking about the price of weed like its some fixed thing. It depends on what grade you get and how far down the chain you are. There are no set prices.

Well.... grow it in your closet and grow what you like the best... Consume it in your living room... That seems so American to me... To sell it also seems American to me... but, why are both illegal?.... IF you had a farm and sold the cow's milk it might be ok... but you'd might have to be inspected to insure the consumer is not being poisoned... so I guess we are our brother's keeper, in a sense. But, I'd doubt you'd charge more than the going rate for milk... all bottled up and all.

They don't?

Will they dispace the alcoholics?

-John

Let me correct myself: the only social services alcoholics and potheads should get is help with their addiction. No destroying your brain with alcohol or drugs and then whining that you can't work because of it.

I bet you anything he is remembering $20/eighth oz. as $20/oz. I don't think even cheap Mexican weed in the 1970's was $20/ounce.

- wolf

I'm sure he's remembering $20 an oz, because I remember when it was $10. Liquid acid was a buck a hit, coke was very pricey at $20 a gram. Our old stand by, MD 20/20 (rough puppy) was a very cheap buzz at around 2 bucks a bottle.

Debauchery used to be a very affordable hobby.

Thet aren't drug users, they aren't alcohol users,

their abusers, or addicts, and it doesn't really matter to what drug they are addicted.

An ounce was $40 back when I was buying in the eighties.

a dime is not a quarter ounce. 1/10th a ounce hence the name "dime"

I always understood MJ to be measured against the metric system... IOW, 'a kilo of grass was seized at the border today...'

Ergo, since a liter of water... (fresh, I suppose) equals 1 kilogram... we could balance the scale and figure out how many grams are there.. and what that cost. (assumes you've not a metric scale) then convert to how many grams to the oz and finally what that oz cost...
A 'dime bag' seems to me to be the price of the content... or so I was told... iow, 10$ but, I think it was the content was 10 grams and the price was determined by supply and demand and quality...
But I don't have a clue 😱

The good news is that you can fake a back-injury and buy pot for $200/oz.

-John

Or.... Oxycodone at a bit less cost. (generic at least) 😵

How about having a real live licensed Medical Doctor view the Radiologist's analysis of that back injury and Rx'ing according to the need?

I forgot about prescription medicine...

thank goodness I am too poor to partake.

-John

I'd rather hope it was because you are too healthy to partake... but, if health is the issue then I'd support your right to attain relief without your financial participation.... for what ever 'medicine' relieves the issue's pain... or other affects of disease or structural issues

Aldous Huxley's, Soma...

Yeah, it sounds good, and it's free.

-John

Huxley proclaims that individuality must be absent to enable governmental objectives..(more or less) and Soma being sponsored by the government for the government's objective is not all that bad assuming that we are the government and in 500 years from now that might not be a bad idea... hehehehehehehehehe.... Today, I prefer to have one choose what they might do notwithstanding government blessing...
