While on the subject, is anyone here old enough to remember when pistachio nut shells were always dyed RED?

They were and I have never done research as to why they did this.

I'm not old, but I do remember eating red pistachios as a kid.

Ok? Congratulations? Would you like a pistachio embedded :cookie: with that?

Don't be too harsh with him. RallyMaster used to own a pistachio farm in Kazakhstan until California pistachio farmers forced him out of business.

I was wondering what the source of that worthlessness spewing from his mouth was...thanks :)

How I love Cali!

Except for the Commie laws and taxes/gas/real estate prices, crime and traffic we have here, it's a good place to live

Commie laws? Which one bugs you in particular?

Gas? Yea I guess it sucks.

Real Estate prices: Well that's how you have high quality of life

Crime: Maybe if you talk about Oakland, Compton and Richmond, but San Jose is the state's 2nd largest city and amongst the most populous cities in the US it has far less crime than any of its competitors.

Traffic: Only in LA. SF kinda sucks too, but that's pretty much it.

 ditto for quality of life. San Jose is one of the safest large cities in the entire country.

Me and a fellow from work were just talking about that. We concluded they are just different.
We will decide on what opinion is best for you. ;)

Pretty sure they grow elsewhere as well mmmkoi. However, California does have fresh lychees....which are teh pwnages.

Approximately 98% of the pistachios produced in the U.S. are from California.

Hmm... get rid of California, but lose most of the U.S. supply of pistachios...

Sounds good to me, where do we sign?:D

Sweet! All the pistachios will be for us Californians! Mmmm... None for you!

Lucky for you guys but I don't live anywhere to have that kind of luxury to not worry about my car getting jacked.
