Wrong. They need some help from some Democrats, but the majority of Democrats voted as I described, and the majority of Republicans voted as described.

You are not being honest to take something with majority Republican support, and minority Democratic support, and say Republicans don't have more and primary blame.

Wow, your partisan buffoonery knows no bounds. "Bu...Bu.....Republicans are EVIL!! They're to blame!!" Let's not put ANY responsibility on the Democrats for their ridiculous spending. I suppose that is the fault of Republicans too, huh? You blame EVERYTHING on Republicans and refuse to acknowledge the fact that the Democrats are equally at fault.

Still waiting for some links I requested in my previous post...

I think we're all still waiting for him to go back to the Venezuela thread with Whoozyerdaddy. :p

You say Democrats are equally at fault, but how come all of the disasters seem to happen with Republican chief executives?

You and he made idiots of yourselves there, the way you do where you make a basic error and claim someone else did, and it's been explained repeatedly, and you don't get it.

Repeating the lie here just repeats your idiiocy.

You can't win on either issue.

Given that there is a lawsuit in the CA court system, I would guess that CA is not accepting it's IOUs for sales tax payments

I do know that CA has told me that I can not send their IOU back in for income tax payments.

Will California report their IOU to you as income for federal tax purposes?

On a very base level we have to realize:

If California accepted their IOU's for payment to California, they wouldn't serve much of a budget balancing purpose.

Your constant, unabashed support of all things Democrat is pitiful. Whoozyerdaddy made you look REALLY bad -- you called him out BY NAME and were completely destroyed by him. It will be nominated for one of the self-ownage threads of the year, I guarantee you. Your lame excuse "Uh, errr, I didn't mean Whoozeryerdaddy, I met Republicans in general even though I stated Whoozeryerdaddy by name" is laughable. You should have just manned up and said "Oops, you're right, I messed up." Maybe then some people would have a little respect for you.

Which "disasters" are you referring to besides Bush, who I acknowledge was an idiot? Shall I bring up the most recent historian ranking of presidents and compare the most recent Republicans to the most recent Democrats? I'd be happy to do that but of course, I'm sure you know who comes out on top. (HINT: Reagan was ranked at 10, George H.W. Bush at 18; Clinton at 15, Carter at 25)

Seriously, you guys need to take your blinders off and realize both parties are AWFUL.

Revising your own posting history, and very recent posts at that? How sad.

It is pitiful, isn't it? He calls Whoozyerdaddy out by name, and then when Whoozyerdaddy owns him, he claims we are all mistaken and he meant Republicans in general. Even though his post EXPLICITLY said Whoozyerdaddy.

He still hasn't responded to my request for links or to his other suspected misrepresentations as I mentioned in my post on page 2.

I would expect that they will.

If it is not honored by 31 Dec, I will then write off the IOU as an uncollected debt

I have an IOU for several thousand dollars, and saw this thread and was wondering if they had delayed the redemption from the schedule of Oct 2.

Misleading thread title. What they're saying is you can't pay state debts with the IOU's.

Well of course not - that's the point of the IOU's, to help the state with cash flow. Nothing surprising there at all. They'll 'accept' them for redemption Oct 2, paying good interest.
