California Scenic Hwys = OMGMAJESTIC!

Just took this driving up HWY2 aka Angeles Crest Hwy in the break of dawn to catch the sunrise in my Miata.

Agreed. I love living here, so many great scenic roads through the canyons and mountains. It is even better on a motorcycle!

I took these pictures a few months ago up near Mt Laguna on the way to Julian, CA. This is only about an hour from my house.

There are many scenic drives here in California. Of course, any state with mountains will have plenty of nice places for an afternoon drive.
I'm less than 2 hours from the ocean, from the snow, from Yosemite...
Here in the valley...it's all orchards and farmland...and almost as flat as Iowa or Nebraska.

The last time I visited California (February '07) we rented a car and drove from San Diego to Santa Barbara. Most beautiful drive I've ever taken, period.

CA sucks in every way and has no redeeming values whatsoever.

I go fishing along the coastline in Bug Sur at least once a month. A bit far (113miles from my house) but nothing makes me feel more at peace than that place.
