On top of it all, the idiot residents of his district still voted him in after a rather nasty racially based campaign against his opponent.. Think I'll keep SD off of my future travels in retirement.
EDIT: Same district that Randy Duke Cunningham (also a republican) was convicted of bribery and ordered to pay 1.8 mil in restitution. Must be something in the water.

SD is beautiful. We almost relocated there this year. Certainly worth a visit just for the tacos.

Escondido is way north of even Poway. It is not remotely close to being San Diego, I t’s like 30 miles away. Hunter represents east county and north county, which are racist shitholes. The nickname for Santee, which is part of his district, is Klantee.

San Diego is a great city though, lived there for about ten years. The main issue is that the ratio of the cost of living to average salary there is seriously out of whack.

Yeah, I had family in Escondido for a while. A lot of cringing at holiday dinners.

The salary disparity is quite strange. Companies that offer competitive pay in LA or SF offer way less for SD even though cost of living is still high and rising rapidly. That is one reason that we didn't end up there.
