California prison system

in CA apparently the prisoners are segregated out by race when they arrive at the gate, is that true?

If not at the gate, they'll most likely separate once inside. And then kill each other. I know, I've seen movies.

No, that's probably not true. Having never been in prison though, I wouldn't know for sure.
But think about it, it's prison. You are alone (unless you happen to know some of your prisonmates, which is very possible if you have been in and out). The prisoners tend to segregate themselves. You see the whites with the whites, the blacks with the blacks and the Spanish with the Spanish.

There aren't very many people from Spain in California. People aren't Spanish just because they speak the language. Are you English?
