I might be moving to California, my company has an office in Ontario which is a dump. What are some nice areas within a 30 minute commute from Ontario? My budget for rent is around $1k for a 1 bedroom.

Claremont is nice. Diamond bar and Chino Hills (not Chino<-sh!thole, but with "hills") is very nice too. My gf lives there and I go there every week. There are a lot of asians in that area

Yucaipa is in the Mountains ~3-4,000 feet out of the smog and heat . . . but a 30 minute commute would be difficult in traffic.

Upland or Claremont are OK but pricey. You might consider Loma Linda or Redlands . . . (cheaper but still nice) . . . then Highland (depends where) or Rancho Cucamonga (expensive again)

i'd suggest a visit to scout the places you'd like to live B4 you move ;)

Diamond Bar is great I'm biased though since I live there. Walnut and Chino Hills are good places to live west of Ontario. Rancho Cucamonga has some nice areas as well.

Riverside, I know of a 2 bed, 1.5 bath condo for $1k a month. It's great here acutally.

I used to stay at my friend's house in Diamond Bar for ten days vacation. Diamond Bar is a nice place.

The Claremont area is nice. I used to visit there a lot back when I was in college. Everything you need. Donut shop about every block. What is up with that anyway? Why are there so many donut shops in cali?
