California has a hepatitis A outbreak

I find this ironic as on the latest episode of Designated Survivor they deal with an outbreak of a flu. In this instance the state of CA currently has 576 cases of hepatitis a occurring primarily among the homeless community which includes many drug users.

Considering that it is spread from person to person through several means if an infected person continues to come into contact with others it will continue to spread as its symptoms can be easily mistaken for something else. I wonder what is going on in San Diego that would give rise to this problem?

It's eventually going to spread to junkies in Republican states, and we'll see how well their gutted health systems deal with it.

LOL! It took sensamp TWO DAYS of racking his one remaining brain-cell to try and slam Republicans somehow over California. (Up there with JStorm whinging at the right about wildfires in California!)

OK, we'll see how this works out for you. Republicans were always pointing fingers at urban areas and minorities about drug abuse too, but now their suburban paradises are drug junkie capitals of America. What goes around comes around.

Waiting for instructions regarding the blaming of the victims and/or the State of California or Hillary.
Well it took two days, but you can take your marching orders from sensamp. Point fingers blindly at "Repblican states" and somehow, some way, make them... I dunno, feel responsible for California or something?

Does it EVER occur to you that some things are not your silly US vs THEM thing? Of course not- that one brain cell and all.

OK, we'll see what happens. I'll even bet that Hep A is already where you live, you just aren't testing your junkies for it, because you think it's just some California inner city thing.

Hepatitis A is transmitted almost exclusively via fecal-oral route. It is not considered an STD or blood-borne pathogen. Generally outbreaks can occur with close contact and poor sanitation and a low prevalence of vaccinated individuals. So a homeless population would be right near the top. Otherwise the outbreaks are food-borne. It's one example of something that contributes to the downward drift of marginalized people in our society like those with mental illness.
