Fuck California...that is all I will say...granted I've spent my 6 yearsish (in 2 different timeframes, guess I'm a glutton for punsihment) in this forsaken state a little north of Sacramento so YMMV.

Dude, you can't compare Cow Town to the SoCal coastal communities.

Well, you can't really say fuck California if all you've experienced is California above Sacramento. Now if you lived in Fresno or Bakersfield, then you can curse your life all you want.

and the area, there are plenty of green areas, but la isnt one of them.

la only exists because of extensive water projects.

Chinatown is a great movie that shows a little bit of what they were doing with the water rights back then.

"forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

Anyway, yeah. It's summer right now. The hills will be nice and green in the spring.

To all the SoCal fanboys and SoCal haters ...

Every place has it's positives and negatives. I live in central Florida and travel to SoCal all the time. Each has it's good and bad points.

SoCal is WAYYY to crowded and polutted for my taste. Yes, it gets too dry and the only reason the place exisits is because they grab as much water as they can from the Colorado river. The place is so dry and relatively desolate) that it would dry up and blow away if not for the water grab. On the other hand the weather can be very nice, even in summer with temps in the mid 70's while just 70 miles away (in San Bernardino and beyond) the temps can be 40 degrees hotter). You just have to live breathing all that smog (and it's bad). There is little rain to be had because if it did rain the expensive hill-side homes would come rolling down the hill ... with the rest of the hill.

CF is the suck during the summer (June through mid-October) because of the heat/humidity ... but at least we get the rain (I love a rainy afternoon/evening). The weather in CF during the fall and winter is the best I've ever encountered (I love to lay out and tan in mid-Feb).
