PC gone bad, heard Roger Hedgecock discuss this today on Limbaugh Pretty sad,

Under the legislation, a state commission would then add to the banned list any other names it decides are "derogatory or discriminatory against any race, ethnicity, nationality or tribal group," and schools would be forced to comply.

So Vikings, Sheiks, Romans, Trojans are out too? What if some italian guys from Rome get offended?

i dont see how braves and chiefs can offend anyone, considering one is a positive trait and the other implies authority. but oh well
 
How about they keep the name braves and change the mascot to a policeman, or chiefs and change the mascot to a fire chief?
I bet in 10 seconds the indians will be up here complaining how they were passed for some white people.

I attended Poway High School (the TITANS) and I was offended because it implied Greek Mythology when we all KNOW that the Bible is the real Religion.

Our Main Rival Was Mount Carmel (They had a devil) don't even get me started there!

Native American nations don't have Chiefs? In some tribes males aren't referred to as Braves?
What about the Padres? Is that offensive? Oh dear, my virgin ears....calling the team Padres is an insult to both Latinos because it links them to Catholic Priests, right?
