It's cus we're actually prepared. Our buildings here are made to withstand much higher than 6 or even 7 in Cali. We have earthquake drills in city and school buildings regularly and most people have earthquake emergency kits ready.

I've never been in a high rise when a big quake has hit. Now that I work 44 floors up in the heart of downtown LA, I'm sure it'll be interesting.

Last months quake was almost in the city and only 5kms deep, theres more to it than just its magnitude.
