What a ridiculous decision. Pools are meant for swimming, not having lunch in.

Trying to breastfeed an infant IN A GIANT POOL OF WATER just strikes me as a bit irresponsible in the first place. In this situation I wish the city had played harball with them and threatened child endangerment suits if they kept up their act.

Lame ass protests like this actually hurt your ultimate cause of more acceptance of public breastfeeding as a whole.

This. With all the peeing that goes on in a pool, the last thing I would want my infant to do is breastfeed while in the pool.

Just take a damn bottle with breastmilk. Geez.
 
I'm all for mothers DISCRETELY breastfeeding in general public settings but IN a public pool??? Ewwww!!!

Beside the danger of the baby (or baby and mother) falling/slipping and drowning, what's the sense? She should just bring a bottle or do it discretely in a chair poolside.
 
Why the hell do they want to do it in the water. Everyone else should protest by bringing a bunch of pizzas and eating them in the pool.

I got the pleasure of having an entire aisle blocked off when shopping this weekend, because a mom and her family decided to breast feed in the middle of it. All I wanted to do was check out the camping gear 🙁

While standing in a pool with the baby above the water? Who's it harm? It's not illegal to smoke or drink alcohol while pregnant, I'd say this behavior is just a tad less hazardous. What's the problem except that boobs make idiots "uncomfortable"?
