right triangle inscribed in semi-circle which has diameter of 20cm. where should side perpendicular to diameter be located so that area is maximum?

yeah calculus does suck, were doing indefinite/definite integrals and starting applications of integrals friday. i think my grade is a around a 70 >_<..

What value of y maximizes (10+y)(x)?

EDIT: Speaking of which, is this Multivariable calculus? The problem above could be solved pretty easily using Lagrange Multipliers, but with single-variable calculus, the derivatives get messy.

actually the derivative really isn't that bad
 
I loved calculus when I took it in high school.
Fast forward 13 years later; I took a college level math class that has some calculus crap in it.. something about derivatives.. I don't have a freaking clue. I had an A in high school.. now I'm 😕
