Hey, remember the time PurdueRy owned you in the airplane physics thread after you were ragging on him about how bad Purdue is compared to Cal? Yeah that was awesome.
Oh yes, that was him, wasn't it? hahaha.

Anyways, I do have friends at Purdue that admit that their engineering program is easier.

I promise my school is harder than yours... by a lot. 😛
Edit: However, it isn't in CA, so I guess I'm OT here.

That isn't necessarily true. Berkeley may be a public school, but it ranks very highly overall. Top 20 schools in the US, according to U.S. News. Unless you go to Harvard/Yale (looks like you're chinese, so I wouldn't doubt it 😛) it's tough to be harder than Berkeley.

MIT, hehe.
Though I might swing out your way for grad school b/c UC-Berkeley's numerical analysis group is amazing.
But yeah I was mostly giving you crap 🙂 Berkeley is a good school as far as I can tell.
Edit: Harvard sucks 😀

How's the social life over there in MIT? I'm considering applying but I've heard MIT is an all-geeks school. At this point my #1 is UPenn, provided I can get in.

only a Cal student would visit his friends, only to sit in their classes and start making academic comparisons.

Mm interesting that you are considering both MIT and UPenn, as they are completely different schools. If you're considering engineering, UPenn is not the way to go- go to Cornell or Princeton (or MIT/CIT of course).
