I usually don't find the time to visit state parks MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, especially in the dead of winter, but a good find none-the-less.

damn, hearst castle is excluded. that would have been the coolest. when hearst kicked the bucket, his family couldn't afford the property taxes to the state, so now it is a state park. it's in san simeon near san luis obispo. that would have been a neat weekend trip =P
