ASU and UofA are always battling for 9th place in the Pac10... well, for football anyway

And USC is always the winner of the Pac10 title too. Oh wait...

Two losses against unranked opponents outweighs beating two ranked teams. Besides, ASU is one of those teams that people are just looking for any excuse to send them plummeting out of the top 10. Cal winning this game won't prove much, its a far bigger game for ASU as they still have a shot at making a statement and claiming something.Originally posted by: mrkun
If Cal wins how do you think the rankings will turn out since they will have defeated the two highest ranked teams in the Pac-10 (who are currently ranked much higher than they are)?

ASU extends 24-20, and ASU has been more productive in the second half than the first half in each game this year.
Anyone want to bet they stay undefeated?

USC - Over-rated more than Notre Dame normally is - they've been exposed a couple of times already this year.
Oregon - tough game but not a loss.

I thought the Big Ten was better than the Pac 10, but my friend just convinced me otherwise. In the one game where the two top teams have played each other (Oregon @ Michigan), the Pac 10 team blew away the Big Ten team. Cal, USC, Oregon, and Arizona State are all better than Michigan, the second best team in the Big Ten. and Stanford, Washington, and Washington State are probably better than Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, or Northwestern.
Also, he says that the Big Ten does not have a single good non-conference win. Cal-Tennesse, USC-Nebraska, Arizona State-Colorado, Oregon-Michigan. even UCLA-BYU are all better non-conference wins than any Big Ten non-conference win.
What do you guys think?

ASU played very well tonight. Their real challenge is coming next week up in Autzen though.

They'll be losing that one. Oregon is NC bound. After Ohio State gets rolled by Michigan that is.

Oregon is still behind LSU in the one-loss teams.
