Go Cal!!! By beating ASU, ASU will be tied in W-L with Oregon. The next game Oregon plays will be ASU and thus one will lose. I will be rooting for ASU in that game.

Do you really believe ASU is going to have a chance? Cal will pwn them

ASU and UofA are always battling for 9th place in the Pac10... well, for football anyway

How long ago was that? ASU has been a solid team for a few years now at least.

As for my UofA Wildcats...they usually are battling for 9th :p

Go CAL!

edit: Jeez it's only halftime? Long game

If Cal wins how do you think the rankings will turn out since they will have defeated the two highest ranked teams in the Pac-10 (who are currently ranked much higher than they are)?

Um, Cal is only up by 6 in the 3rd. And they shouldnt be up at all. On the fumble return for TD, they grabbed the QB's face mask, yet no call. Call should be down, but thanks to a miss call, they're up.

Two losses against unranked opponents outweighs beating two ranked teams. Besides, ASU is one of those teams that people are just looking for any excuse to send them plummeting out of the top 10. Cal winning this game won't prove much, its a far bigger game for ASU as they still have a shot at making a statement and claiming something.

ASU extends 24-20, and ASU has been more productive in the second half than the first half in each game this year.

Anyone want to bet they stay undefeated?

USC - Over-rated more than Notre Dame normally is - they've been exposed a couple of times already this year.

Oregon - tough game but not a loss.

Well...look at the post below yours.

ASU will not beat Oregon (this coming from a former ASU season ticket holder and ASU "fan").

I thought the Big Ten was better than the Pac 10, but my friend just convinced me otherwise. In the one game where the two top teams have played each other (Oregon @ Michigan), the Pac 10 team blew away the Big Ten team. Cal, USC, Oregon, and Arizona State are all better than Michigan, the second best team in the Big Ten. and Stanford, Washington, and Washington State are probably better than Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, or Northwestern.

Also, he says that the Big Ten does not have a single good non-conference win. Cal-Tennesse, USC-Nebraska, Arizona State-Colorado, Oregon-Michigan. even UCLA-BYU are all better non-conference wins than any Big Ten non-conference win.

What do you guys think?

ASU played very well tonight. Their real challenge is coming next week up in Autzen though.

They'll be losing that one. Oregon is NC bound. After Ohio State gets rolled by Michigan that is.

Oregon is still behind LSU in the one-loss teams.

Well every year is different. This year big 10 is not that good compare to pac 10. But historically, big 10 is better than pac 10 with OSU, Michigan and PSU all capable of contending for national championship and the middle of the road big ten teams like Michigan state, Northwestern and Purdue doing pretty well. Big ten team don't need tough non-conference game cause conference game is already tough enough.

If you look up which conference has the most national football champions, I think Big 12 leads the pack with 16, SEC has 14, and Big 10 has 13. Pac 10 has like 4. Other than USC Pac 10 really don't have a team that contends for national championship year in and year out.

I know. LSU, by blind idiotic luck happens to be ahead of them at the moment. They'll probably win out but, with the way Les Miles coaches who can say. I swear that guy actually tries to lose games the way he coaches but God or someone apparently loves him.

But, if Oregon beats #12 and #4 in two consecutive weeks while LSU has a buy and beats, I'm assuming, unranked Alabama I'd expect Oregon to jump them. I could be wrong, though. Of course, there's always the posibility that BC will drop as well. I've even heard a bit of speculation today that LSU will jump them this week even though BC won and LSU didn't even play.

<sarcasm>damn I love the BCS</sarcasm>
