Caffeine, does it affect you?

Those who say it has no effect simply haven't had enough 😀. Some seem to have higher tolerances, and some seem to be affected differently (e.g. some get tired as another mentioned).

I drink 4 to 6 shots of espresso a day, and there is definitely a threshold where the effects become more adverse than beneficial. One double espresso and I'm quite lucid; two, and I'm tweaking.

i used to think it didn't until i tried some expresso. i was almost shaking from it.

guess it's just that the amount in coke and regular coffee isn't that high

Most people assume espresso has more caffeine than most other drinks, or even a cup of regular coffee; however, that's not the case. You have to consider that an espresso is usually consumed within a minute after brewing, and you are drinking all of that caffeine within that short amount of time. It's analogous to drinking a shot of vodka versus a mixed drink; more of the substance that affects you (caffeine and alcohol, respectively) is going to be absorbed in a shorter period of time.

Cut the espresso with water (Americano) or milk (cappuccino, latte, etc.) and you won't feel the affects so quickly.

sorry about the typo😱 caffeine has a different affect on me every time I drink something with it. It's quite odd really, I could either sleep on it, become realatively more speedy or nothing at all....
