Cablem Modem Woes

hi everybody, i am seeking some advice in regards to my cable modem. the up stream power is really high, and is causing really bad latency and disconnects. is the high up stream power a result of my modem dying slow painful death, its a Linksys BFCxxxx modem, or that the line into my home is all outta wack. i read once on dslreports.com, that upstream power shouldn't be over like 47 or something, and modem regulary spikes over that up, hours on end. in fact its at 50.1 as i'm typing this. Does anybody know what could be causing this? anything would be much apperciated.

Actually, I believe anything under 57 is normal. Mine is in the low 50s all the time.

How many splitter are you behind?
