Cable types

Have a new NAS coming thise weekend so looking to get some cable for that and also going to replace a couple others in the network that are probably non-e cat5. Looks like we have 6 and 7 out now and also saw mention of a 6a, so what type should I be looking to get?

Unless you have some very unusual mitigated circumstances CAT6 would your solution.

Nothing special, just standard home giga nic/router/couple switches type stuff.

Yeah, Cat 6 should suffice.
Is the next question going to be, if you should get solid or stranded?
(The answer to that is, depends on what you are hooking up, and the distance.)
